What is a Light Novel?
Light novels are a form of Japanese writing, often called ranobe or rainobe for short. They are typically not more than 40-50,000 words long (the shorter ones being equivalent to a novella in US publishing terms). They are usually driven by dialogue. Light novel authors make use of literary minimalism.
What is a Webserial?
A webserial is a written work of literature available primarily or solely on the Internet. The term comes from old serial stories that were once published regularly in newspapers and magazines. They are also sometimes referred to as 'webcomics without pictures'. Unlike an online novel or e-book, it is not compiled and published as a whole; instead, it is released on the Internet in chapters as they are finished, although published compilations and anthologies are not unknown. It compares to a novel the same way a webcomic compares to a published comic book.

It is the dawning of a new era where captains of the seas are now forced to do battle with captains of industry.
Dominique Wright, captain of the Voleur, was a mercenary working for the powerful Eastern United Trading Company. However, after two major shipping companies join forces and become the industrial juggernaut known as "The Ironclad", Captain Dominique and his crew's very way of life is threatened. They decide to fight against overwhelming odds to try to change the world they live in: or die trying.

I think it's a great idea to put your stories on DA, not only because it's a backup if your computer crashes, but you can also (attempt at least) develop a fanbase for your work!
