I actually have bought some of these tools for the stuff you mention, watercolors, inking pens, but haven’t got around to practicing on my artwork w them
any advice for a novice?

I've done a few pieces with water color but they're like horrible. I've inked to and it's also horrible. One thing I can say about inking is don't go crazy with the shadows and don't cross hatch so much.

No problem! It's because I like the colors in your pieces so now I want to make a piece with the colors you use. I want my art to improve and I hope you do too! (as in I hope you want your art to improve, not mine :P (Lick) )
