dang i keep forgetting to come here. i use instagram for my figure pics and stuff these days.

um let's see.  I saw the bumblebee movie on 15th december. Kinda hated it.  The film itself was ok but really unoriginal (felt like i was watching bits of the 2007 movie mixed with Short Circuit and why was Bee a puppy for most of the film except when he turned into red-eyed murder-bee near the end and yet charlie didn't seem bothered). Really disliked the g1 bots (and now Studio Series has that blocky Prime in it..ugh... We have Siege for all that G1-ness...  And john cena was acting like he was in an actual cartoon and not a live action movie.. oh and so much 80s music just in case you ever forgot it's set in the 80s.. and bee randomly playing 'The Touch' of course cos meh...

Omegatron huh?  Hm, I sold that last year for a nice amount.  Was a cool toy but I had no use for it anymore

I cracked open the junker Millennium Falcon from when I sold a bunch of star wars figures and stuff for the charity shop almost a year ago, with intention of selling off the useful parts... and found five more figures somehow inside the main closed off area of the ship.. not the cockpit and not the purposely open area at the back.. they were right inside and i can't figure out how they got there but yay more money for me.

I treated myself to a second hand Unique Toys Challenger (Masterpiece The Last Knight Optimus Prime) for £80 I saw on a Facebook group.  It is awesome.  I can't get over how the chunky truck completely hides away inside the slender robot.  It's insane.  Also came with the pre-order bonuses of Merlin's staff in two sizes (tiny one fits a Mega Construx/Lego hand so Skeletor is holding it cos closest thing I got to a Merlin... ) and a sword for Peru Kill (UT Lockdown) much the same as the one that came with Studio Series Lockdown but much bigger obviously for the much larger Peru Kill but I'm not intending to get that figure (not making a habit of getting expensive TFs.  OS Grimlock and UT Challenger cost me plenty) so I'll probably sell the sword to someone who has the figure and needs the sword.

Have ordered me Studio Series Jetfire cos I love the robot mode (it's so much better done this time than on the RotF figure) and will be buying the improved Prime to combine with occassionally too.   (another expense. I need to slow down but dammit it's one of the best waves of Studio ever with improved Prime, Bonecrusher, Jetfire, DotM Megatron, Barricade and Sideswipe all on my want list).

Really liked that Doctor Who episode on new years day (except for annoyingly huge font on the location names, and the awkward 'funny' bit with the family when their wi fi goes down).  Most interesting use of a Dalek in ages and I liked how it made it's own tank shell from alien and earth parts like the Doctor made her sonic.  And it killed a load of guys too.   But people still complain.. blah blah... I thought the bit about UNIT was actually a very realistic reason (and as much as I like UNIT it was often too easy to wonder where the hell they were and probably costs a fair bit of TV budget to bring in Kate and a whole platoon of soldiers so having it shutdown through lack of funding made sense to me).

Hope you had a good christmas.  My day was crap and lonely but boxing day was awesome cos my friend Kerry invited me over and we played games with her and her folks.  Some word game called Banana that used scrabble-like tiles and then Cards Against Humanity.  Both of which i've never played before but i won every round we played.

Been a while dude! And yeah you were lucky that this sent haha I've had my dads all over the place with Xmas and new years. so not been online much anyways. And funny you say about Instagram. i've been thinking of joining up and posting. if i do or not that's another story. hehe but if i do i will let you know and you will have to give me yours. and i follow or what ever your do on there.

I've not seen the Bumblebee movie yet. Will wait till in comes out on disc or something.

Weird that you found some figures hiding is the Falcon. No super rare figures in there then? maybe they took the cardboard part and stuck the figures in there? who knows. Coll that your treated yourself to some new figures. I have seen that Unique Toys Challenger. Looks cool. And don't Studio Series Jetfire combine with the Prime?

I did enjoy the New Years Doctor Who episode. The DIY Dalek I thought looked good. haha na i didn't like the so called 'Joke' of no wi-fi. And The UNIT being disbanded didn't really make sense as a Brexit dig as we maybe leaving the EU which is just a trade union. Not the UN. you would think they would know. but it is what it is. I did she some people complaining about it. even how homophobic the Dalek was for killing the gay guard!? Sometimes i don't know if people are serous or just trolling with the complaining. haha All in all i thought the last series of Doctor Who was OK. Could have it been better? Yeah. i think the writing on some of the episodes has just been weak. other than that i have no problem with it. One thing I can say about Chibnall is he must have the fastest record for hated producer. took a few years before JNT, RTD and Moffat were this hated! hehe. but it comes with the job I guess.

Xmas was a bit naff for me too. Xmas day i didn't do much. no doctor who to watch. haha glad you had a good boxing day though. And i'm sure you beat me at Cards Against humanity. I've never played it. but i hear it fun.

Nah, no professional photographer as such. Just one of the cast who has a £1400 camera.  Which he had me use when taking pics of him for it too. I've never held anything so expensive.  Good thing it has automatic thing for reducing shaky pics cos i was a bit nervous i was gonna drop it.

And yeah the Blackout hands look awesome.  I like the figure so much more now.

Yeah sad there will be no Egon. but hopefully the rest will turn up for one more time of Ghostbusting. I'm sure it will be a handing of the torch or proton pack to a new generation of Ghostbusters. And glad they are shipping the reboot. it did flop big time. some people are moaning about the new film will skip the reboot as this new film won't have all me as the villains or stupid. and that's sexist! haha

Holy crap! the camera cost £1400. I would have been scared i break it. haha Maybe if you get the hang of it you can ask to borrow it to take some toy pics. my camera is old and i thought it was expensive at the time i got it about a £100.

I'm not too bad. surviving. haha Have ordered the 13th Doctor figure. not got it yet. need her to go with the rest of the 5 inch Doctor figures. the big 'Adventure Doll' was a good stand it but too big. and i still think i will pass on the Barbie version.  Hopefully get the 5 inch figure this week.

Yeah I got the 13th Doctor figure last tuesday from Forbidden Planet (and my friend who works there gave me 10 percent off).  It's a cool figure.   Oddly she says that £55 Barbie has been selling extremely well and they've had to restock it several times.

Masterpiece movie figures have been shown of Jazz and Megatron and they both look amazing.  And rather grimly Jazz does separate into two (with a spiney bit to stick under Jazz's torso) so Megatron can 'rip him apart'.  Megatron comes with an Allspark cube that can go into his chest and Jazz comes with a non-articulated figurine of Sam holding the Allspark and running.

My friend says he has an older camera I can borrow.  Still a professional one.  So maybe I will.

The 2016 Ghostbusters deserves to be forgotten as if it never happened.  Like the RoboCop remake.  I often forget that was a thing.

I got the 13th doctor figure. i like the new ball joint for the head. don't have the neck cut as visible now. Shame they removed the shoulder ball joint. I hear they maybe doing a companion 3 pack set later this year. not sure if that will be a B&M set. A new B&M set is out next month I hear. 4th Doctor and TARDIS.

Really the expensive Doctor Barbie keeps selling out. I guess might be Barbie collectors too. Not my sort of thing. but i guess good for people who are into that.

Yeah i saw the new Masterpiece figures. poor old Jazz. forever to get ripped in two! hehe Looks great though. good that you can recreate the scene with both figures. so you going to get them or just going to stick to the studio series?

Got the package. It contained four Mega Construx figures!  Kratos, Hellboy, Man-At-Arms and Evil-Lyn and two NECA scalers (cute figures that clip onto things like headphone cables) of Kratos and T-800.   pbs.twimg.com/media/DyjkC_bWwA…

The customs charge has come from the US post office accidentally putting the price on the sheet on the front of the box as 60 dollars when it's supposed to be 40 dollars.  Anything over 39 pounds gets VAT added (and then Royal Mail handling fee on top) and 39 pounds is about 50 dollars.  So I've had to call Royal Mail (I was on hold for an HOUR) and then they told me i was given the wrong number and gave me the one for customs which I was on hold for (15 minutes) and they're sending out a form I have to fill out with as much proof as I can provide about the value of the items and such and see if I can get a refund.

The figures are great though.  And £18 or so customs charge is still worth it for a bunch of cool figures (the MC figures were 7 dollars each and the scalers were 5 dollars each so $38 dollars my friend just spent there on just those items without me asking or him asking for any money.. dude is so generous).

Bloody customs! Hate it when we get hit with the charges. So annoying post offices too. my local one is a good way away and open from like 8am to 1pm most days. closed Sunday and open the longest weds. 8am till 8pm. Hope you can get a refund.

Well cool gift you got! Did you take that photo on the bus home? haha Getting a nice collection of minifigures now. Well jelous! the Hellboy and Kratos look cool as minifigures too. why oh why can these get a release over here! lots of people would buy them. And not seen those scalers from NECA before. That's so cool of that dude! and yeah the £18 if you can't get back works out cheaper than if you would pay for the figures. but still it's the principle.

So was it nice to be married then? even though it was just for the play? haha So any more plays coming up your are going up for?

I do miss being married yeah.  Was nice to have a pretty wife to kiss (I've kissed her more than any other woman I've ever known..which is a bit depressing really) and just the company too.  I'm not in any other plays. I got told yesterday I didn't make it into Hi-de-hi but that's ok cos i wasn't really fussed about the show itself, i just wanted to keep busy.  Next one I can go for ain't til six months or so.  Bleh.

Treated myself to Studio Barricade and Sideswipe from a decently priced company in Singapore I got the huge Grimlock from as a treat cos got sick of waiting for UK release.

In addition to Sideswipe and Barricade coming from Singapore I have RotF Starscream (the version with the tattoos and sawblade) coming from the US via Amazon.com which had it for $20.99 plus about $12 shipping which worked out about £26 which is way cheaper than the £33 I would have to pay if I could actually find it in the UK.

yeah Siege stuff doesn't interest me. Omega Supreme looks like a good update and kinda smart including Countdown with it since he had a rocket base originally.  But yeah Omega himself isn't to my taste but at least all the lines and stuff all them figures have actually looks good on him.  Skyfire/Jetfire is pleasing G1 fans but I never cared for that boxy design, far preferring the Macross figure which was my fave TF toy in the whole of G1.  Really nothing else could match it for quality, transformation and articulation.

I'm more worried about more G1-ish stuff clogging up the Studio Series line like that Optimus Prime SS38 is, I really don't like it at all. We've had a billion similar Optimuses over the years and now they've tried to change movie Prime into it. Bleh.   Hope to see some more proper Bayverse Studio figures.  I'd like Concept Camaro Bumblebee and 2007 Megatron to be shown off to finish the 2007 movie batch. Well a little Frenzy figure would be nice too.  I'd love a pack of mini-figures of the smallest TFs and human characters.  I don't even require the humans to be possible, I'd just like them represented.  Like that Charlie mini-figure you get with the Studio Bumblebee camaro you get alternate parts for. Which makes no sense cos none of that happened in the movie and Charlie only ever saw him as a camaro right at the end.  When I first saw that box set I thought it meant she was gonna enter some kinda car tournament with him and that might have been cooool. but nah.  Why not put her figure with the VW Bee?  No idea.  So much nonsense...

I saw the new Siege Jetfire. The basic form look ok. without the added bit. looks like the cartoon. big though. might get it if i see it on sale. wouldn't mind the cartoon version. but if not. i've got the G1 version that to me is the 'real' jetfire. so i guess IF i do get it It wull be Skyfire. haha The rest of the siege stuff i doubt I will get. I did pick up the Prime and Megs before Xmas. saw them in Smyths and they looked better in person. That Prime has taken place of my Classic version on my G1 update display. Did see Hound, Sideswipe and the others 2 from that wave but didn't pick them up. i don't know. just didn't appeal to me. i have the old Classic/Generation hound and that will do. thing is i saw photos of those and thought i will pick those up if I saw them. but looking at them i was like Naaaa. With Prime and Megs i was like Naaaa I'm not picking those up. but seeing them in person I did. haha getting weird and picky in my old age. but the others they have showed off in the pics so far have not got my interest. as i said only Jetfire is a 'Might get if cheap'

i thought the Studio line was just for movie bots? i guess they will get through a few from the BB movie then go back to the Bayformers. once the film is out of disc they like to get new figures out as sales go up for lines when the movie is out in the cinema and then disc. I'm sure there will be bayformers new ones coming.

Oh and I saw that new MP Bumblebee. werid looking to me. kind of looks a mess on the feet and backpack. and he has a big chin. haha

yeah i dunno. I'm sore bored to hell of G1 Optimus' look. I was never a massive fan of it even as a kid (I did prefer his Powermaster look) and they keep doing new toys of him all the damn time.  Siege Megatron is ok but a bit overly chunky to me and I have the Titans Return version with a shrunken Combiner Wars head I put on it from a downsized KO and even that I feel like selling on.  Was in Cambridge yesterday and they have the all the Siege Legend and Deluxe figures and even though they're cheaper that Studio (£17.99 for Siege Deluxe when it's £22.99 for Studio Deluxe) I just don't have any urge to buy them even in person. I briefly picked up Cog cos he splits into weapons and stuff but nah he looks junky and it turns out he's flawed to hell "The 5mm pegs on his guns are trimmed on the side, and consequently don't fit securely into his hands or the 5mm ports on other figures. Additionally, most of the pegholes featured on Cog's body are in fact hexagonal as opposed to circular, which combined with the trimmed circles leaves them unable to stay positioned properly."  so that's lame.   JetSkyfire is pretty big (has a whole new size class invented just for him) so even on decent sale will cost a lot.

Studio is for all live action Transformers and now that it turns out there's likely to be follow ups to Bumblebee (cos even though it did crap in the US it did well enough globally) so yeah Studio's gonna end up with more G1-inspired stuff... ugh.

I saw that Mega construx Castle Grayskull! looks great! Expensive though. haha but i guess we got a year to save for it. they have some great stuff. got to start making easy to get in the UK. So you going to get the Grayskull set? Did you ever get that Technodrome Mega Bloks set? I know you had problems when you ordered one a while ago.

Did you read that McFarlane toys have got the license to do the DC figures in 6 inch? Don't think we will see any figures till toy fair next year though.

hehe yeah saw that Ectotron. Tempting! the car mode looks good. bot mode not so much. And it comes in a G! style box. I think it's an exclusive figure though. so not sure we will get it over in the UK.

Jet wing Prime does look cool. ain't it going to be a big bot? Guess not as big as your 3rd party Grimlock. that is a beast! haha And that Siege Springer does look good. One of the few that I might pick up.

So Super7 are doing a the 1987 Movie versions of He-Man and Skeletor now. And some TMNT in the same scale and classics body types as He-Man.

yeah the Super 7 movie MotU look good cos they're proper figures. Not so keen on the vintage style for the others. 

Mega's Castle Grayskull looks so awesome. The front view looks great.  Looks like you plug the sword into a hole on the right of the drawbridge to unlock it, that's what I'm guessing.  It includes six mini-figures, including He-Man and Skeletor again but they're painted in the style of the original mini-comics this time.  Just don't see how I'm gonna get it here in the UK though.

NECA's doing cool double packs of their 80s Turtles and shown off Rocksteady and Bebop who look great.

Funko's ReAction line just seems to do everything.  They have RoboCop figures which include humans like melty Emil and I think dead Kenney along with ED-209 and several RoboCops.  Not my kind of style of figure but eh it's curious I suppose.

DotM Optimus is wide rather than tall.  It's the same figure as the SS32 Voyager I got recently and the trailer takes up most of the space and you get several weapons included too.  It's way better value than that Siege Shockwave that's a voyager figure and backpack.  This one's actually canon and iconic.  The only difference I can see with DotM figure compared to SS32 is he finally has the yellow fading on the front of the truck/foreams and I think the windows are coloured.

Masterpiece Jazz and Megatron still look great but whoever transformed Jazz at the Toy Fair did a lousy job, messing up the backpack, arms and legs.  Ugh.  You're supposed to be making people want these toys, you fools!

Still no news of Mattel doing the Thundercats again.

I saw those super7 reaction figures of Robocop. picked a few of the old ones up. Might check out the Robocop. If they are not silly money. For a basic figure like that. I see they are doing Transformers in the reaction line also.

Tempted by the TMNT 2 packs. bet they will be still hard to get over here. I wonder why they don't release them in Game or something in the UK. Most things are a pain to get over here.

yeah i just can't go back to that simpler style of figures with only 5 or so points of articulation. The Teen Wolf ones look oddly appealing but i dunno why.

Yeah mattel... we saw Jaga and Grune figures a while back and then nothing much since..  I dunno what's going on with that.  I WANT CHEETARA!  Heck even the funo one done like vintage MotU figures is starting to look appealing cos.. reasons...

Got RotF Starscream today.     Also I painted up my SS32 Optimus Prime and pretty happy with how it turned out. I used gloss paint instead of matte this time too.

Also if you go to the first post on that page you might see the DNA Design upgrade kit for Ironhide they've shown off to be released in April.  Adds a new bumper which can fold (the blatant non-folding bumper being the big flaw with the otherwise great figure), but also new lower leg sections with ankle tilts and foldable toes (meaning the toes hide better in truck mode too), the Dark of the Moon shotguns he has (great for the mexican stand off scene) and two knives that he can hold or attach to the bumper in robot mode or fit on the guns as bayonets.  I neeeeeed this set.   The pics look awesome.

Nice. you got Starscream. hope it wasn't too much of a nightmare in the post? Not seen any new Studio series figures in the shops for ages. The Entertainer has not got any new stock for months. That's the thing with Transformers i've noticed we always miss a few ways. annoying.

That upgrade kit to Ironhide makes him look so much better. just shows a few extras to these figures can make them look way better.

Yeah The Entertainer didn't have anything new when i was in last week. I thought they might have at least got Siege in, Forbidden Planet has all the Deluxes and micromasters from that but The Entertainer just had old stock from last year.  Odd. 

Yeah I can't wait for that Ironhide kit.  I managed to get his bumper off yesterday by pushing the pin out with a very thin precision screwdriver.  Didn't know it was so easy to remove pins that way.  Although my Ironhide now looks super thin in the waist cos there's no bumper at all.   Come April he will be fully equipped and perfect.

Had a look in The Entertainer again yesterday and they did have something new. Well old. Was the Studio Series Thundercracker. Wasn't that the old Toys r Us exclusive figure? Other than that the same old stuff. think the last new range that got in was the Bumblebee movie stuff. but no of the studio series figures.

haha you have started striping Ironhide ready for his upgrade. Hopefully he won't have to fight any battles still then.

yeah i heard Thundercracker was popping up there too for a decent price. I got it from Forbidden Planet ages ago. 

I got two new rats today. I love them muchly.  I need to think up names though. I have a few in mind. Just waiting for the rats to settle and see what their personalities are like.

They're two boy rats.  And they is calld Nate/Nathan and Sam/Samuel after the Drake brothers in my fave game series Uncharted cos they like to explore and they climb a lot.

And yeah if I could literally just trim the pudge off myself with a knife or file then dammit that would be sweet...if painful.

My rats are doing great. In fact i found a good quality rat hand puppet today and they seem quite curious about it. I didn't like the checkout woman's reaction when i bought it though "at least this isn't a real one" with a look of disguist. And so i said to her, actually i have pet rats and they're lovely   (and in my head i finished off with the word 'bitch').

I love the idea of the Rat hand puppet. haha Bet they are really curious. Had a puppy hand puppet for my dog and she was like. What's this moving thing. XD

Stupid checkout people. Pets rats are great. I've been around friends places how have had them and they are cute. And they are not dirty like people think. It's just the wild rats i'm not fond of. Had one jump out of a bin the other week when i went to put the rubbish out, Nearly give me a heart attack. haha

I'm ok. not really done much. Had lots of my diabetes yearly check up. And not really got any new figures. Did pick up one of those Battle Masters. Firedrive. Ball joints on his his were really loose. so just keep him in gun mode.

yeah rats are awesome. was world rat day yesterday.    wild rats eh?  i could tame one i bet.  

yeah i got firedrive and lioniser.  joints on mine are fine, i just already bored with them and not collecting siege so will probably sell them.  am waiting for that Ironhide upgrade kit to come out.

not done a lot lately. just getting on with game projects and such.

Nah, i've not been up to anything that interesting. Been looking in some charity shops but not found much. Also need to start hitting some boot sales. Was thinking of going to one this morning. but too cold and couldn't be bothered. haha Maybe once it's a bit warmer.

Some of the accessories like the proton gun and the PKE's antenna were very warped and bent in the packaging but easily fixed with hairdryer heat and straightening them out.  I was just gonna get Pete but now I seen how much stuff you get for 20 quid I reckon I may get all the RGB figures.

Also I got the upgrade kit for Studio Ironhide.  No more shitty front bumper for me!

He just looks SO much better and the ankle tilts and DotM shotguns and knives are great too.  If you notice I have two Ironhides it's cos the DNA kit isn't officially out yet but I found it on eBay already installed to a figure which it turns out WAS THE VERY SAME ONE I HAD SEEN IN A YOUTUBE REVIEW THE WEEK BEFORE. =O   It was £50 and I thought I'm having that cos i was already impatient for the kit and so when I got it I exchanged the parts with my current Ironhide (since I had already painted some parts) and am selling that spare Ironhide on eBay cos it turns out he's a hard figure to find now anyways so i put a starting bid of £17.99 and we'll see how it does.  But yeah the upgrade kit is fantastic.  Really improves the look of the figure and love that you can attach the knives to the folded sides of it when in robot mode like attaching them to a belt. They also can be held in hand or attached as bayonets to the new guns.  Ironhide is not short on weaponry. Nope.  

This be the review featuring the actual figure and kit I bought. I guess he got it early cos he's a known reviewer of action figures including Transformers both official and third party. Nice you got Venkman. I still need to get these. does come with a lot of extras. i think all the figures come with a ghost trap and PKE meter. Will have to check Kapow out. You going to get the rest of the team? might have to get some ghosts for them to bust also. haha Oh and did you see the Ghostbuster Optimus Prime? XD Fun, but I don't think i will be getting it.

I watch Benscollectables and saw that review thinking "is that the upgrade kit you are waiting for" and you got the exact one and early too. haha Yeah i think he gets them early to review. Ironhide does look way better now. Ready to bust some Deceptichops.

I saw that new siege Springer figure that is coming. Might get that.

I've still only got Venkman.  Money is a bit of a issue at moment and i'm saving up for that new DNA Design kit for Jetfire/Jetpower Optimus.  Looks awesome.

Yeah i saw the GB Optimus.  Just.. i don't get it. It's just another redeco of optimus in weird colours for no reason whatsoever. I thoguht the Ectobot whatever was odd but at least it was an all new figure.

haha yeah has been a while. No worries. I normally just out this place once or twice a week. I've still not got any of the RGB figures yet. really hoping B&M will get them in. I did seem some of the GB2 figures for 8 quid in there.

Cool, when does that new DNA Design kit come out then? I've not really gotten much lately. I finally did manage to pick up a few weeks ago the Mega contrucx He-Man and Skeletor on Amazon £7.99 each though. but free P&P  not checked if they have any more from the other figures. did see they had Castle Greyskull on pre order. Way to much money for me.

haha good old Hasbro will use a Prime figure repaint for anything. get there moneys worth. I'm ok. just lack of cash really at the moment. watching a lot of shows to keep me busy. Have been watching the new Swamp Thing series. really good. shame they cancelled it 2 days after the first episode was shown. Bah.

i got the terror dog and library ghost from B&M Newmarket (as opposed to the Cambridge one) for £8 each which is fine.

A lot of the new MotU Mega Construx stuff at SDCC looks great.  Battle Cat and Panthor, new vehicles, new characters, new repaints (such as Filmation colours).

No Studio Series stuff revealed there so far but a list has appeared showing 'New Bumblebee, the Arcee triplets, Soundwave with Laserbeak and Mixmaster but no pics.   I got Long Haul the other day and he's pretty fun.  I have started Devastator.

That Siege Unicron at SDCC is ridiculous. I mean it's cool for those who want and can afford it but where would you even put it.  Still not accurate scale though eh?  He'd need t be bigger than a house. 

No plays at moment. Mostly doing stuff behind the scenes. 

Yeah that Swamp Thing show is great.  Really like it.  LOoks like it'll be a nice concetrated one season of quality.
