I have been quite keen on photography for about 5/6 years now. And am hoping I will be able to carry it on as a hobby. The majority of my uploads are photos, which I very very raley manipulate. They are always uploaded as they are taken, apart from the occasional. I am now started to uploads work I've done at uni as part of my interior design course. Which are made either AutoCAD, Google Sketchup or Photoshop at the moment .
I started at the University of Central Lancashire in September 2010, studying Interior Design.
Happy Looking :)

Thanks so much for adding my shot of Queen Anne Hill in Seattle to your favorites. I'm always amazed at the dramatic shots I get when I'm restless and can't sleep. Woke up wide awake at 2 a.m. and said "What the hell" and went out with all my gear and yeah...good times.

Ah, they look brilliant. I wish I could get up and go out, but Im really too lazy...
I love your panaramic one too, love the misty towers

Would've been great to get there an hour or so earlier, but I was busy shooting the Pike Place Market and screwing off at Gasworks. Some of the strangest people come out at night. I love time-lapse stuff but the junkies and the drunks make it hard to get the job done. I'm always worried that someone is gonna try to jump me for my gear because I'm paranoid, but I guess that's why it hasn't happened yet. Gotta keep your wits about you.

Ah, it is pretty good. Though the weather a bit dull, either get rainy or slighty sunny... But its still good.

Iยดm not a big fan of the sunny weather. If its sunny und cloudy, its ok. I dont like heat.
This year we have a (for the most people) really bad summer. Its raining nearly every day and cold and really more the "english" weather. So i like it.
Were have you been in Germany? In which city?

Agh, I couldnt stand it raining everyday, dont like being stuck inside all the time...
Erm, I went to Hamburg on a school exchange. I dont rememeber muhc except it being really hot and nice, except one day when it started absolutly chucking it down, like torrential rain, when we were on the way to an outdoor swimming pool I had never seen rain like it

And thanks for the next fave!

Ah noo...Cant believe that. Ive been to Germany once, in July about 4/5 years ago, it was lovely and sunny, and lovely and hot- but not nasty hot We only get about a week a year of that here...

Erm, not really. I did it for my Alevels but thats abbout it Why do you ask?

No particular reason to ask, except that I believe in Physics. You can pretty much count of Physics.
And I thought perhaps the only reason to take advanced courses in physics is to become one. Physicist, that is.

Oo, my profile was a bit old, hadnt been updated in a while but our Alevels are what we call our studies after year 11. So theyre basically year 12 and 13 at school. These two years we pick out three best subjects to carry on further basically. But now Im at university where I just study one subject - interior design. So I havent really followed on physics further. However I did injoy it very much at school.

Well, the physics you learned can come in handy with interior design. I mean, you know, like if you hang a painting you'll know that gravity will kick in and always pull towards the floor, and stuff like that.
My interest in physics is in quantum mechanics. I don't understand quantum mechanics, but I do find it interesting.

Yup, I think im going more for the architecture side of interior desing, so Im sure the physics will definintly come in handy
Ah, when we had to learn some of quantum mechanics we always got told that uyou can never understand quantum mechanics, but just learn what were told.

I have read the same sort of thing. One physicist said, I think, that anyone who says he understands quantum mechanics is lying.
I did, however, come up with a very good explanation on how particles can pass through solid walls at the quantum level. The reason I say it's good is because I happened upon a physicist and gave him my explanation, and he said "Very good!"
That was a good moment for me.

Ha, yup. We got told that quote too Cant remember who it was now though.
Very high praise for you then!

JosephThomas In reply to CaroBoo [2011-07-28 10:18:38 +0000 UTC]
I thought so, too!
I explained it by talking about having a three-dimensional world, but only being able to see two dimensions. Since most everyone understands our three dimensions and can understand two dimensions I explained how a particle can seem to pass through a wall looking at two dimensions, when in fact, in the three dimensional world, it passed around the wall.
Then I related this to being able to see in three dimensions in a world where there are more (unseen) dimensions.
