(snugs, smiles) I prefer being nice to being bitchy, because it really does always come back to you in ways you weren't expecting, trust me! When I was getting a divorce, people came out of the woodwork to help me out, even people I =knew= didn't like me. It was a real eye-opener to have people who were usually trying to cause me trouble pitching in to help me out... all without me =asking= for anything.

Well, there's been some forward progress lately: now up to 6 chapters finished, in line for a editor's touch. Still a way to go before the manuscript is finished, but with the cover art done, it's been helping me to visualize the end.

What do you think of the cover art? Especially Jeanne?

You're very welcome! Sometimes the good ponies get lost in the less amazing ones online here.

Let it be known that today I had to price the MLPs at the local W*M ($5 +tax), knowing that other than the varnish to seal any fresh paint I put on one, the only thing holding me back from making a pony of my own is a need to hold onto my current level of funds and... skill in making them! (smiles) I've got too many hobbies already, sniffle...!

Well if it makes you feel any better - to buy a new pony over here costs almost double what you guys pay. That's why I always try to recycle unwanted ponies!

You have the skill! But yeah I'd have to admit that I have probably spent a small fortune on ponies!

I understand that a =lot= of things over there are more expensive, so I'm not surprised. That $5 price =is= a sale price, but they are still fairly reasonable even without the sale price, to work from a new pony. They even sell some of the Rainbow Dash "styling ponies" for a bit under $20. I'd offer to buy and ship to you, but I'm pretty sure the shipping rates are killer. (grins)

The problem is that if something costs say $16.99, over here it will be £16.99, which at the moment would be $24.86! I know shops can't keep changing their prices to match the conversion rates but still!

That is a good price for a styling pony but with postage included it would equal the same if not a little more than if I got it over here! So it's only really worth it if it's something that is stupidly rare over here. Thanks anyway though.

My PC died. Only recently uncovered the disk with which I brought it back, and still trying to set a few things up with it... like my chat programs. (shrugs) Soon... or not. Horribly behind on DA, because I couldn't really look at ANYTHING while I was gone. My Mac couldn't show me anything but everyone's front page, and God help me if I couldn't recall how to spell their name right, because I'd never find them. And no one had a gallery I could look at with my Mac... bleh!

Sorry I've been out of touch for so long. I've just caught up on Trades' life (pretty much the first thing I did on here, too!), and it's going very well. Didn't vote; it was over by then.
