Sorry, just got this. I do in theory, it depends on if I feel I can execute what you want and if I can get my hands on the right gems

You're welcome. It's really amazing how you get such a flowy feel out of the pyrography, it seems like something that'd be so angular to work with.

Thanks for the llama too!
Thank you, I try and work with wood that is nice and soft with little grain.. It definitely helps! I think the most important thing with pyrography is just good old fashioned practice.. Getting used to the tool and different techniques is so important..
I absolutely adore your hand made jewellery! It's something I've always wanted to have a go at.. Do you have any advice?

Oh gosh, I'm so still learning. Take a look at the tutorials on here, innerdiameter has a good one, I've got a tree one, and see if something appeals. And start with the softest wire you can find I started with half hard and don't do it! If you start getting into it, then splurge on the good tools, they're worth it.

You are doing incredibly well for still learning! Thank you for the advice I quite like the look of raw gemstone rings, they look quite simple so think I might start with something like that

Have fun! Remember, rings get beaten up more, so you need thicker wire for those

Ooh yeah.. might start with something that requires thinner wire in that case!

They're really nice, but not particularly. For some reason, don't know if it's me or just the way it goes, my pieces with leaves sell pretty well, my experiments with including flowers not so much.
Β
(Of course, totally for me I still want to do a jet flower with dinobone, but that's just because!)

What color dino bone?

Before I found the ammolite and dinobone guyΒ I'd been looking for I'd impulse bought a red/grey/crystal cab that I want to play with sometime. Except for prepping for my one winter show I think I need to go slow on wrapping and Viking knit for awhile. My hands are killing me and besides wrapping up on wrapsΒ I've three dolls to remake before the show. (I have to send in my inventory this week, oops...)
