# About me

Hello! :) My name is ElkΓ© Marie Frerichs, and I am a student Goldsmith/Jeweller living in Glasgow, Scotland. I am also a hobbyist pyrography artist and I occasionally take commissions.

Originally from Orkney, came the inspiration for my name; Kenaz Art. Orkney has a rich Viking heritage, and Kenaz is the rune of fire/torch, which I use to burn personalised, custom designs on to wood and various other natural materials.

"Kenaz represents the brilliant flame of divine inspiration: Rebirth through sacrifice - Creation through fire."

Each piece is a completely unique, one off item that will never be reproduced. I personally design, hand sketch and burn all requests.

That would be super cool Thank you for the suggestion! I'm unfortunately really busy with studying jewellery at the moment, I haven't had time to do any pyrography. I am however, creating a custom engagement ring, and I'm going to personalise the presentation box with pyrography
