So I've been planning a kamen rider/ She-ra reboot crossover lately, but I've hit a bit of a dilemma. Originally I was planning to use Gaim, with different riders serving the different factions with a possibility of a third column. But now that Zero-One has debuted I can totally spin prog-rise keys, huma gear, and the Magia as results of first ones tech. Which do you think would work better.

Honestly, what about Kuuga?

Well when it comes to the First Ones, their tech is a mix of futuristic yet ancient at the same time
When it comes to past/future blends like that, usually the ancient civilization based Kuuga lore would be a go to
Kuuga could have been a warrior born on Eternia, the past to the First Ones future aesthetic, a link to a primordial civilization that had already existed prior
When the First ones first arrived, Kuuga was already active, fighting off remnants of the Grongi race, who acted sorta like his peopleβs natural predators, in a constant fight for survival, one thay over the years, ate away at both sides, until by the time the Horde Onvasion began, there were only a handful of both the current Kuugaβs people and the Grongi, with Kuugaβs people at this point becoming nomadic and in hiding due to their dwindling numbers, becoming mere legends by this point
However, with the arrival of the Horde, an already desperate fight for survival worsened (you could go a special route in implying Kuuga was forcefully dragged into the fight against his will) that resulted in the last of Kuugaβs people being wiped out and Kuuga being the sole survivor, with no heir to pas the Arcle onto, before he himself he perished in battle, broken and alone
That way, when the Arcle finds its way to the user in the story, and they learn the truth, they can see Kuugaβs pure hatred of not just the horde, but The First Ones and the Alliance that essentially strongarmed him into the battle that killed his people before the Grongi could
It could make for an interesting dynamic that has a conflicted new Kuuga, who ends up a wildcard, seeing that no side was innocent in that war.
And when more powerful and sentient Grongi who survived the war and share his resentment and bitterness show up, thereβs a way to Link some understanding and shared empathy between predator and prey seeing as both were merely following the law of nature before they were forced to lose their people

yeah, I was thinking riders amongst both the horde and the rebels maybe even in charge of a third faction. Gaim with the rebels and Baron with the horde are the obvious choices, I'm kind of wondering what to do with the rest.

Hey, I've been wondering, given what we've seen so far, what do you think of 'Ready Player One' part of me thinks it'll be a lot of fun, but another part of can't not call it 'References: The Movie", and before you ask, yes I read the original book.

Who would make a better opponent for dio, alucard or simon Belmont.

Well the thing is that Dio and Alucard (if we're talking Hellsing Alucard) are on an entirely different plane of power from Simon Belmont so realistically, those two would make better opponents right off the bat if you wanted to go for just balls off the walls super powered beat downs on the level of gods.
Belmont would be perfect for a more grounded, weapon based sort of fight you would see in shows like RWBY or the like.
If he went up agaisnt Dio and The WORLD (if we're talking about Stardust and Second half Steel Ball Run Dio), Simon would probably get destroyed in my opinion, regardless of feats, seeing as he's never actually had to fight someone who could literally manipulate time to my knowledge and has no real way of countering it.
Alucard on the other hand would be a perfect opponent for Dio, with his sealed forms evening the playing field, given the steps you have to go through to actually kill him, of which Dio does not necessarily have the means to do.
