Few things, I'm a writer, not a very good one by a lot of standards. I do some art things sometimes? I play pokemon, YuGiOh and I love alot of really good animes and even some not so good ones. Oh, dude. Since I got so much free time on my hands, I was thinking of trying to write a Pokemon fic again. It's Omega Ruby/ Alpha Sapphire based, and I'm just testing a few ideas out.
I was wondering if you wanted a character in it. If you do, I'll need his name, age, ambitions, appearance, personality, skills and team.
The idea I'm spinning at the moment is that, should you want a character, that he'll replace the player character (since becoming Champion is more your thing than mine), and my character takes Wally's spot. Not sure what to do with May/ Brendans spot...working on it.

Ambitions; To make friends with pokemon and humans alike, forging bonds that can never be broken.
Personality; Quirky, says alot of random crap sometimes that actually has meaning but sometimes makes no sense. Has a high sense of justice and loves the sea and sky.
Skills; Because of his personality his skill in battle is very high, on the fly kind of strategies rather than pre-built plans.
Appearance; Messy unkempt white hair, deep purple eyes. Usually wears a Grey and Blue jacket (Kinda like blacks jacket except with a hood and more grey), black jeans and white trainers.

Anyway, my plan so far is to have it set in OR/AS Hoenn, but take a sort of Emerald approach where both Team Aqua and Team Magma are causing trouble simultaneously. I might see if I can throw the events of the Delta Episodes alongside of it, but if I can't make it work I'll have the Delta Episode happen as an after thing (assuming I make it that far...but I have a good feeling about this one).
Anyway, here's the character I got going.
Name: Rhys Walker
Age: 17 (turns 18 mid-to-late story)
Ambitions: To travel the region and explore everything it has to offer
alongside his Pokemon, and to test himself against strong opponents.
Personality: While he is by no means a moody brooder, he strongly distrusts
people and has a lone wolf attitude about him, only letting himself be open
with his Pokemon partners. He enjoys the quiet and doing nothing at all just as
much as he enjoys exploration and intense battle. Loves isolated locations andΒ
enjoys looking skyward.
Skills: Having taught himself to explore everything down the tiniest details, he
has very keen eyes, a skill he applies to just about everything. Battle included.
While often going with the flow in battle, he often starts by playing defensively to
gauge the strength of his opponents and learn their battle style. He can switch to
hyper-offence on the fly from then on.
Appearance: Somewhat spiky honey coloured hair (think Dark Pit's hair, just withΒ
the Honey Hair Colour from X/Y). Usually seen in a dark purple hooded jacket withΒ
an orangey-yellow 'Omega' symbol on the back, a black t-shirt, a dark green belt,
dark blue jeans, and black trainers with orangey-yellow patterns.

So I was writing up the first chapter a few times trying to get an angle that flows, and I had the idea that Hayden and Rhys already know each other, having both lived in Petalburg City for most of their lives, and the idea is that the two of them are best friends that contradict one another.
Hayden is quirky and energetic, can be serious when it really matters, but his laid back attitude sort of defines him. I also had the idea that he sort of flirts with girls whenever he gets the chance (I can take that out if you want, though), cause it allowed me to create a good starting dialogue between the two. He could also have something going on with the contest star, Lisia if you thought that'd work.
Rhys...I tried to write the whole loner thing, but I just couldn't find a way to make it work. So during the version of chapter one that I'm doing now, he sort of turned out a bit differently, but in a way I think works great.
Rhys has sort of a Karkat vibe about him, flipping his shit about nearly everything (though not quite as much as Karkat does), has a slightly lazy feel about him, lacks the same energetic tendencies Hayden does, acts like he hates people, and the two are somehow still best friends despite being completley different in almost every respect. I also thought it'd be funny to make Rhys a big eater...you wouldn't think the character I just described would be, so it's sort of a funny mix.
Also...had an idea I wanted to pitch to you. I was thinking that if I write the chapters, what would you think if I were to send you each chapter after I finish them instead of posting them. You then look over it, add anything you think would work, maybe change a few things and edit any mistakes you find, change some dialogue if you think a specific interaction seems to be lacking, and then send the updated document back to me.
Then I look over the updated document, make my own touches (assuming anything else is needed), and then I upload. Basically, I'm asking if you'd be interested in turning this into a joint project, you being like a pre-release critic/ editor, and we credit the both of us for the story. You could even pitch an idea for the plot if you wanted to. Just an idea.

Actually, after looking at it last night, I don't like the look of this team. It's got too many potential Megas for a start. I decided to go for a different approach, since I noticed you didn't entirely Hoenn base it like I did. Chalk it up to Pokemon Migration or something.Β

True. But still, kind of disheartening. But you can never really predict anything with Andrew Hussie. What if it doesn't spiral into a Doomed Timeline like Aranea wanted it to? I mean, the glitch dust only seems to appear in the Alpha Timeline, and it was there with John just before the curtain closes. We'll see, right?
(Also, it was pretty fucking cool how Aranea and The Condesce were just throwing planets around like they were nothing.)

Well, it was very emotional either way..
Aranea made sure it was a Doomed Timeline in a few ways; first she got Jade killed, causing both Blanche and Noire to take her corpse to her quest bed. Dave chased them both down and got killed because of it, and if you don't remember, Dave is the hero that is supposed to kill Lord English in the end. Also, do you remember the juggalo back-breaker? The suplex Gamzee pulled on Terezi. That hadn't happened in that update, Gamzee was still holding Terezi over the lava before Rose had interrupted.
Glitch dust wise, I think that's what changed aspects of things. Meaning it's most definitely a doomed timeline, but one that can be changed and altered without input from a hero of time.
(I think so too, I also thought John beating the shit out of Caliborn was fucking amazing.)

An interesting analysis. With Dave out of the picture (unless he got crafty and had a time clone in place of himself), that means the only Time player alive to fix the mess would be Aradia. The only people alive are John, Dirk (who is still making his way out of the ring), Roxy, a wounded Rose, a wounded Terezi, Aradia, and Sollux (really hoping he starts appearing more often now). And not to mention pretty much ALL the bad guys.
And even though Caliborn is a bit of a dick, I couldn't help but feel a little sorry for him. But it also raises an interesting little thought. Aranea once stated that Lord English had never once been defeated in battle. If Caliborn and Lord English are the same guy, and John basically beat Caliborn in a scrum (and what-not), does that mean that John screwed with something he wasn't supposed too? Or maybe (unlikely, but just pointing it out) that Caliborn doesn't actually turn out to be Lord English.
Also, I doubt Hussie would make it so obvious to how LE would be defeated. Could be Dave, could be Jake. We'll have to see, but it'd be pretty cool if Dave pulled it off.
(I'm about to throw you off with this question, but...Karkat and I were married in Tamadochi Life, correct? Does that mean Gamzee killed my wife?)

Well, Hussie did say in the comic that Dave is the one to deal the final blow to LE, so that doesn't mean he does all the work.
That does raise a point, if Lord English was never beaten in battle, and John beat Caliborn, then John could have seriously fucked up something. However, Aranea said that Lord English never lost a fight. Not Caliborn, and at that point, Caliborn has yet to become Lord English, correct? The LE that Aranea refers to is the form Caliborn takes after granted seemingly infinite and unstoppable power.

Hmm. I guess that's true. I doubt the timeline is going to be fixed too easily though. I probably can be fixed, but some serious work will needed to be put in by the only remaining 'living' time player (Aradia).
Still hoping that Sollux makes more appearances from now. He is still alive, and frankly, I'm beginning to wonder how he's going to feel about the death of Karkat.
Another thing. It's true that Dave may end up dealing the last blow to Lord English...but I'm wondering which iteration of Dave. Will it be a revived God Tier Dave. Or, I wonder, if Davesprite still has relevance to the quest. Think about it. He might be a sprite, but he seemed to realise his role as the Knight of Time significantly more. He was the one who completed the quest and had The Deranger fixed. Also, just because he became a sprite doesn't mean he's no longer a 'Hero' or 'Player'. Think about Aradia. She became a sprite, but she was still a player.
Not only that, but out of all the sprites, Davesprite never seemed to just fade into obscurity like Jaspersprite or Nannasprite did. Just a thought. Tell me what you think.

Aradia couldn't fix thing, her way of using time powers exploits time and frankly pisses me off. She doesn't interfere with time like that; she's not a good time player, nobody is, Dave had the potential but he died to the ironic fact that if he had used Time powers he would have survived.
Involving Sollux would be pretty good, I'd like to see that.
I agree that Davesprite could count, but I have a question; Where is he now?
We haven't seen him for a long time.

Well, the terms for 'good' and 'bad' players is a pretty broad spectrum. Aradia wasn't actually all that terrible of a time player when you think about the milestone her doomed clones helped the main group achieve. But the thing about a player of any aspect is that they wouldn't have been given their titles if there wasn't at least some chance of the hero fulfilling their roles. It's just that, due to the cruel nature of Paradox Space, most heroes rarely do.
I believe Davesprite was hanging out with ARquisprite last time he was seen.
(It's kind of...disheartning, actually. Weird....makes me well up with some feeling I can't quite place.)
