Relief had taken hold of your heart and for a while you had been left to rest inside a small but comfortable room inside the main palace again. For a while you had not managed to move yourself, keeping your hand to your neck in case your head might just fall off at any minute. You could not say it was fate or even luck that you had been rescued, it was just incredibly surprising and part of you wondered whether it had all been designed by the king just to make sure you were not killed when there was land to think about.
After an hour of rest you were greeted with the friendly face of your protector as he opened the door and strolled in with a large plate of food. Youβd never seen someone offer you so much before without the court around and Gilbert just seemed so pleased with the idea of feeding you that you had no choice but to eat.
