# About me
There are a few people I would like to say thank you to:The birds that cover water with the shadows of their wings and the brother that took their name.
The man with coke bottle glasses who painted a world he could not see from his seat in a doughnut shop. And his stepbrother, the uncle who taught me magic; how to hold words in my hands as if they were water.
A girl with the heart of a lion and the ghost of the accordion player that follows her around, holding her from danger and keeping her safe as she does for me
The young man with fire for hair who taught me an unspoken language. He took my hands and placed them in the sign for love and showed me the view through his eyes. And the English majors that hang around him, heads bent under steeples with words under their noses.
The people who sit in armchairs and sip caffeinated drinks, that lesbian with a paintbrush and that army man home on leave whose knee deep in technology. There’s one that gave me my first feather and my hand the touch of lamb’s ear.
The rocks that sit outside houses and collect stories to remember for future generations and the trees which dance in storms. The sway of the ocean that rocked me with comforting arms and the voice of the mother that assured me things would be alright that day.
The little boy who once upon a time stood at a window star-gazing long after his bed time and the stepbrother who showed me the proper way to see the sky. The meteors which rain from the clouds, carrying all the children’s wishes, including my own.
And those people whose voices are louder than the wind and the chaos and who holler into the night: “Let the wild rumpus begin!”
