Have you ever done something foolish like watch the entire run of Eva in one straight marathon, plus the movies? 18 hours of pure mind destruction. It doesn't make sense. The creater was insane as he made it, and he wrote the second movie just to anger the fans.
And when you watch it, and realize all the icky dead bits of loved one inside those machines, and see how they're all being used, and dying, and the dudes sister was killed by the government so he'd be a mech pilot, and all the other crazy stuff, and you've been awake for atleast 18 hours with NO STOPS to regain sanity... well it's just horrible.

yes, you love it as it slowly eats away at your brain. Every time I go to watch an anime I say to myself "there's nothing wrong with japanese tv writers" and then I finish it, and i discover that I was wrong, as always. Perfect Blue, Rax, Serial Experiments Lain.
then I discovered Initial D, and I thought "hey, nothing messed up about a guy racing"... but then the chick gets into a car with her father and he starts caressing a bit too high up her leg and she says "my friends work hard for their money, i get 3000 dollars for doing this only three times with you. is that fair".
