Ah, I see. Similar situation here - I study in the room behind the family surgery while my parents work.

Yeah, I get a lot more done if I'm doing independent work. I don't mind if there are other people doing work in the same place as long as they don't talk too much, but group study sessions don't work for me.

Overall, I think it was oookaay...

Detailed analysis: English Advanced was not too nice because I didn't look too much at 'Belonging and Place' in my preparation, and in the modules I just waffled out my prepared essays with minor twists for Module B. Maths Extension 1 was a little tricky, but Maths Extension 2 was not great at all. Chemistry went well I think, and luckily, the questions in Physics were rather standard. But as they say about pride coming before a fall...xD

And you? How did you find the HSC? Sorry I replied so late, by the way, it just feels like such an effort to confront an increasingly overflowing inbox of deviations, journals, comments, etc.

Yeah i know that feeling. So many messages to look through. I just ignore the journals and deviations though. Focus on the comments mainly. But still, I sometimes leave the long comments till last.

Dickinson was very very bad for place. I had to take out a whole poem. I did the same as you for Paper 2. Ext1 maths wasn't too hard. I think a few people in our school got 100%. Ext2 maths was very hard. I'm hoping to get above 80/120. Yep i agree chemistry was somewhat straight forward. I didn't do physics, but i heard it was very easy.

We did 'The Crucible'. It did mention place, but I couldn't find anything substantial in it...for my related text I did a documentary called 'Geisha Girl'.

Well we do know that that belonging question was biased. Our schools can only scale us up to some extent. The rest is up to us, and how harshly the markers mark.

This won't ever happen in uni though. We're all on our own, no scaling involved.
