I have a telescope that I use to take my images (it's a 10" Newtonian, pretty standard amateur astronomy scope).

I don't work at an observatory, but that's the sort of thing I'm working towards. Aiming to start a PhD in astronomy sometime next year.

Small, we'll be using a DirecTV dish. It's part of the "Very Small Radio Telescope" [link]

We will be operating a single dish configuration right now, but I might convince some other groups to join with me for interferometry.

Yeah, I have a DSLR (a Canon 400D). I don't use it too much for my astrophotography though - I've used it a few times for the Moon and Sun, and once for the Orion nebula. It seems to be pretty good though.
