# About me
Hello everyone, I'm Chris, im from Plymouth UK and paint using acrylics and i have been playing about with my camera when i get the chance. I guess if i have a particular favourite subject matter that i like to paint, it would be ships and the sea, and to photograph it would be nature and the countryside/seaside. I just thought I would join this site to share ideas and be 'around' creative individuals and learn how to improve my work. Hope you like what you see, and even if you dont, constructive critism is Always appreciated!Cheers!
Chris

Thank you i just do it for something to do really - im improving all the time, one of my main problems is that i cant hold the camera steady, which results in LOTS of badly focused images - they are fine if i use the tripod or am resting against something, but if i have to do something free hand, then its pure luck if i get it right lol
Many thanks for your comments!

due to spine pain, i have the same problem. usually lenses with VR(or IS if you have a canon) option is good. also using lenses with a large aperture opening(f1.4, f1.8, f2.8) helps you have more "space to move". a more opened aperture setting lets you shorten the exposure time, thus eliminating out of focus shots due to you're shaky hands. also a camera body with a high ISO range can help in the same way.
