I'd like to make two comments here if I might. For openers, that was an interesting perspective on the Man of Steel. I swear, in some of these pieces, somebody breathed life into Michelangelo's David, put him into the blue tights and red cape and--voila!--SUPES!!!

Secondly, you've Harrison Ford NAILED in your portrait of him, ergo, he was duly snitched and is in my Indy Jones/Han Solo/Star Wars/Harrison Ford collection in "My Pictures." There is NOTHING, WHATSOEVER, WRONG WITH THAT PICTURE. You caught him at his very best.

For openers, I thank you kindly for welcoming to DA. Secondly, I can't quite put my finger on what attracts me to Supes. It's probably because, not only is he a looker, but he also doesn't have all that emotional baggage that Bruce seems to carry around. The man is the Original Cock Eyed Optimist, and we need more people like that in this world.
Secondly, I also like the humanness of the man. I know he's an alien, but he's A VERY HUMAN alien. Besides, his alter ego, Clark Kent, is a very sweet, very thoughtful guy, even though he is a klutz. Remember how Chris Reeve played him? He stammered. He stuttered. He dropped things. He was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs when he was around Lois. Most of all, he was a GENTLEMAN!!! Those are as rare as hen's teeth nowadays.
When was the last time you saw a guy open the car door for a lady?
We need more of Supes. I don't know how the world lasted this long without any more of his ilk.

I'm familiar with both the show and that popular pairing, due to my flist, though I've never had much interest in watching. Whether it's one pairing or another, it's always great to have some way to express your preferences and play in the sandbox with everyone else.

If you've ever heard of Stargate SG-1, you'll find that two of the male leads, namely Colonel/General Jack O'Neill and Dr. Daniel Jackson, are paired this way--as a couple. It's because, like Bats and Supes, they're friends, for openers, and secondly, they have a history together.
It's the same thing with Bats and Supes. They've been friends since the Year One, and it's obvious they've decided to take their friendship that extra step further.
Personally, myself, being a straight person, am totally four square behind a pairing like this. In fact, I do write slash fan fiction that is headlined by O'Neill and Jackson in the Stargate fandom, and I would love to write a few tales featuring the Dark Knight and the Man of Steel.
Let's face it--they were made for each other!!!
