Everything is good so far. I've just been busy with building a cart that will help me carry any cans that I collect from areas where they're littered.

Do you take the cans for recylcing?
...The only problem I have with cans found on the side of the road is that they are almost always dirty and/or sticky. >.<

Yep. Last Saturday I picked up about 20-25 lbs of aluminum. As for the sticky/dirty part, it really doesn't bother me. For ones that have a lot of dirt in them I just separate from the others and wash them out so that way I make sure that they are not paying me for matter that is not aluminum. It's fair for the people whom pay me for it and it's fair to the smelting facilities that melt them down to make new products out of them.

That's very, very commendable.Β
Do you live in the city? I can imagine that there would be a lot of cans thrown around there.

I actually live a bit out in the country. My house is near a county road that has a significant amount of traffic due to it being part of an offramp for an interstate highway. It's quite close to a big city, though I rather not reveal any information like that on the net. You never know if somebody is reading this. Anyway, the county road and other roads near by usually has a lot of people just throw their trash onto the sides where they eventually settle into the ditches. To me, one persons' trash is my treasure.

Fair enough, that can also be said about the time the upstairs neighbors moved out from this apartment complex a few months ago, and their furniture was put outside on the street for trash pickup. We claimed several pieces of the furniture. >.>
