I dont think so, right now Im training him to jump onto my finger when I whistle, when he does I either give him a treat or click my training clicker and praise him.

alright. another way is to tell him step up. you can teach him to give kisses on your nose and finger by saying kiss kiss.as he may mimic your speech and kiss a nearby mirror. when i trained my budgies, it only too 3 minutes for each one. i didn't even know they had training clickers. my budges don't except treats. but when they are nice to eachother, for at least 24 hours. they get sprigs of millet. they tend to push eachother around. i have a bllack one named stormy though, he's really shy around hi own speces and preferrs to be near a person. he'll chirp up a storm when i hold him. (he dosn't squak, he sings) no pun intended in chirping up a storm.

it is amazingly cute. once they start to trust you, you can teach them how to shake your finger. i taught stormy how to fly on command and come to me in, in 2 days. if you want to learn how to do this, then slowly lower him and say, 1,2,3 fly! he will eventually catch on and you can form a really good bond with him.

it okay actually. if you set him on the floor and say come here, he will step up onto your finger from a distance. my budge sunshine dose this a lot.

Chief will try to do that, but he likes his cage so much he will usually just waddle over to his cage!

you can teach him to feel more cozy around you by having a normal conversation with him. i talk to my birds and spoil them rotten. OOOHH! i jsut remembered. find music he will chirp along to as-well. try classic up-bet orchestral music that is a must! or you can try your favorite too. find many varients, as he may try to chirp along to the tune.

Yah, he dosnt seem to want to be near me, so I dont want to make him uncomfortable with training till his trust is better.

you can bring him into a small room and let him fly around...even with clipped wings you can let him run. bring a toy out and tease him alittle with them.

that will help trust get through thoroughly. when budgies come home for the frst time, they think you are going to eat them.
