That's a pleasure to hear. I feel horror artists get under appreciated so it's nice to find a fan, not that I am by any means a "great" horror artist. Anyway, I watched the first episode of that series so far and I would say that I am giving it a chance despite some obvious rip offs from well known zombie flicks. Some of the imagery was very well done and the characters seemed engaging enough. Although, I became disappointed when I saw the probable impending doom to befall the series which was hinted at during end of that episode. I feel like the zombies will soon become a pretext to a human centered melodrama that places the zombies in the background of a story about "the human spirit." Call me a purist, but any good zombie story that is taking itself seriously should be focused on the zombies and retain that element of a horror story. I'd be more specific but I don't want to be a spoiler. Have you seen it?

Well why not? It's always nice to see the "not so pretty side of life", i think that most of the people are afraid of it because they lack understanding... I'm definitely a fan of it. They see it as evil, sinful, and throw it way instantly. If you're not great, you're walking through the right path!
Yes, of course, it even brought memories from 28 days later, but oh well, difficult to create something 100% original these days right... Yeah, I think it has those strong points you mentioned, and it's going at a good pace, keeps your interested.
Well, I really hope that it doesn't put the zombies on the background and human melodrama on the foreground, that would be a really letdown. I understand what you mean yes, it shouldn't drive so far away from it's main focus. You can be specific all you want, i've seen it yes

Well, what bothered me specifically was how in the end you find out that the Rick's wife, Lori, is romancing with Rick's buddy, Shane. Right away you know that that is going to blow up in later episodes. That is what I mean when I say human melodrama. Bleh!

Yeah, the "he's probably dead so why not"... I don't know if you've already seen "Tell It to the Frogs", the character development continues and some other things happen regarding that romance. What i really like is when they get away from the peaceful camp and focus on the city... So i know what you're talking about yes, less humans more zombies.
On to another topic, but connected to this, I always liked that post apocalyptic feeling, the urban decay, everything left behind... like abandoned places, really get my blood pumping. I have to watch the rest of the episodes from Walking Dead, I have only seen the first one. I've been catching up on my Dexter. That is an amazing image! Nothing like creepy old abandoned sanitariums.

Thanks, I have some that I personally shot, for the cinematography class. I'm thinking of doing a music clip for a portuguese death metal band there. It's gritty, raw, the perfect setting. It's only used for paintball games on saturdays... But it would be great to be used as some location for a movie, i always think about that... I never been there at night. But i imagine something like wandering in the hallways with a flashlight, very silent hill mood hehe... Who knows, maybe one day...

That's new to me! Asians are keen for psychological horror period. I don't know if I wanna visit the sanitarium at night lol... Nice job... I would like to do a short too... You know, i have a licenciates degree in cinema and audiovisual, now i want to do a masters degree on video editing... I'm really looking forward to it...
