Sorry for taking so long to get back to you!
Here are some notes that you can use:
- His hat is a hat of disguise. Which makes him able to turn human. Although he stays at the same height of 4"8 His hair would be black and he would have very dark skin with a hooked nose. Probably thin lips as well. He would look very young since Jackdaw is still technically a teenager (18)
Also as a small note, the feathers in his hat are peacock feathers since it's a play on the old story "Bird with borrowed feathers"
- Jackdaw is fearless against opponents, (Which you portrayed against the captain well) although he gets stressed out in situations easily. His teamates calms him down by throwing a blanket over him.
- Typically he is up close in a fight, jumping back before people can hit him.
But when it comes to opponents with explosives or fire, he keeps his distance. He hates fire. Like really hates fire.
He is young and curious and doesn't really steal with the intent of stealing. What typically happens is something will catch his attention so he will keep it with him until he's done inspecting it. Usually he'll put it down in a random spot after, but if it's important than he'll keep it (Like that crystal)Β
He is also very team oriented. If he sees an ally (Or anyone perceived as innocent) in danger, he will jump into the battle.
Oh and a little tidbit that can come into play is that he can grab things with his feet. like instead of kneeling down to pick things up he'll grab it with his foot and then pass it to his hands.
Another way that can come into play is when he's having a stand off with some one. He'll use his foot to throw dirt or gravel into his opponents face.
If you read up on some stories on crows, you can get some ideas about how his people work and what their culture is like.
