Looking at the works here, I must say these are impressive designs on the tools. One I have recently discovered is this wampum system, in thinking about the significance in the local histories. Was it by chance ever used as a kind of logographic system between the nations to have used it, like beyond treaties across the corresponding speech kinds?

There are specific stories that go with specific symbols etc. war belts and storybelts some were family belts etc. They transcended the need for speech as it was able to be read. Just as art does today it doesn't always need be speak to convey the story

I see, so it was multipurpose with a long history. I guess our form similarly was Hancha, a form of the Han (Chinese) characters you probably know about are found in my home language as well as those of three of my neighbours. I think the Vietnamese have long used this kind as well, but although we learn more than 2000 characters by the end of high school and over 3000 by university graduation, we're still not supposed to use it for official purposes (but I don't know what the situation is like in the South). Even so, many of us don't retain much of the Hanja grasp beyond our names, kekeke.

I'm afraid I don't know much about the Chinese/Han histories. I will ave to look into it

Being Korean, I can give you a view of that part of culture in both modern (at least on my part of the lands) and the traditional forms. This guy , however, can probably give you a fuller view of the cultural sphere from his view, and especially since you’ll likely have an easier time accessing him on account of the timezone differences and schedules.

You have EXCELLENT work. So happy to see someone else admire and respect animals after they have passed - myself included. I'm purchasing a wolf pelt shortly and I am super excited to finally be able to own one.
Keep up the great art!

I do trade with established customers and to be honest I make so much stuff there isnt anything I need. Typically :/ So it would have to be something really Unique or that I don't have

Are there parts you are looking for?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CraftyCrawford1 In reply to YukiChana [2014-03-25 02:16:11 +0000 UTC]

No, living in Idaho I have everything I need really when it comes to any and all native items and wildlife parts, but you are welcome to offer something for me to consider. This is my full time job so its my only way to pay for my house etc. so $ is usually better for me in general but I have traded in the past once or twice. Just depends on what you have and if I need it.
