Hey Em,

It just hit me that your birthday's coming up and it's going to be so different. It's going to be so hard to not pick up the phone to wish you a happy birthday. We have something planned and I think you'd appreciate it. 

It's nothing big, I know you didn't like that kind of thing. I miss you so much. We all do. You held us all together when we were falling apart and we love you.  You have no idea how much we miss you and how much losing you affected our lives.  You were the one we ran to when things went wrong.  We know you don't want any of us to be sad, but can you really expect us not to be? 

I'm so grateful for the memories you gave us and for the stories you left behind. Each one is a piece of you and we're glad to have them. It's almost like you're still here in a way. You'll be glad to know your work is being cared for. 

I guess I can tell you...On your birthday,  I'm having the girls over and we'll celebrate you. The Emerald we knew before all this, before hospitals and sickness

. We'll remember the brave soul taken too soon from this world, a person with so much warmth and love in her heart...Someone who put others before herself and saved our lives more times than you think without even realizing it. we'll even have your favorite flowers both kinds.  We're going to sit down and read your stories, talk about the good times and hopefully make you proud. We'll keep you alive in our hearts and memories now and always.  We've each written something for you also to be read on your birthday. 

I have a lot of regrets, Em. The one that tears at my heart the most...I wasn't there. Please forgive me.

Merry Christmas Em. It's hard to believe that's tomorrow. It's going to be tough, waking up in the morning and fighting the urge to call you. We miss you so much. It's really going to hurt when we're all sitting there and there is now an empty chair for dinner. 

Sitting around the tree, watching the lights blink or dance as you used to say. We only put one up this year because of our tradition. I don't think I'll have the strength to send this tomorrow so here it is now.

You've always been our Christmas Angel, you came into our lives, turned us around and then you were gone. Now you're a real angel and I wish you were still here. If it's all right with you, I think we'll skip the songs. I'd rather play some memories at least we'll be able to hear you again if only for a short time. 

I'm sorry this is short. Everything is hitting me pretty hard right now.

Hey Em, 

I've been thinking a lot about you. A lot of people really miss you. I keep telling myself that you would want everyone to enjoy the upcoming holidays, but all I can think is there's that empty chair at the table that will never be filled. I know it's been months since you left us and I just want you to know you're loved. We haven't forgotten you and you're still in our hearts. 

Everything is going to be so different from now on. I'm not ready to face all these holidays without you. This is the first time in a long time We've been a part for anything like this and it hurts my heart to know it's forever. I want so much for all of this to be one long horrible nightmare. 

I can't tell you how it feels to have lost you, I hope I'm wrong and there is something after this and when the time comes, I hope you'll be there waiting.

Hey Em, 

I'm back. I came by today to just let you know how much I miss you. I know it's been sometime since you left me. I thought about you and please don't be upset, I know how much you hate making people sad, but I did bring it up.  I came on here because I needed to feel close to you. I miss you. Christmas will be here before we know it and you and I would've already started planning. We would''ve been  planning our Halloween night, where we got the girls together, scared the daylights out of each other. 

I'm trying to keep my promise to you. Everything still feels different without you here and I can't get used to it.  For the first time in a long time, I am not looking forward to the holidays. It's just another empty chair at the table and space in our hearts. I know what you'll say to us, but it's hard not to cry when you lose a piece of your heart.

Hey, it's been awhile.  Jusr wanted to say how much I miss you.  It finally happened,  Rocko finally got his special. I tried watching it without you but didn't get far. 
It brought to mind all those times we watched the show and only reminded me that we'll never have the chance to experience this together. 

It doesn't seem fair that you didn't get the chance to see this with me. It would have been amazing to have had just one more day to grab some popcorn, toss ourselves on the couch and relive our childhood for just a little while. 

I won't be able to watch the invader zim special knowing that you loved the show and we can't talk about it afterward. Everything is so different without you and I want you back.

I thought about you again today.  I wanted to call you, to hear your voice again. It was painful to know that you wouldn't be answering. I kept your stories, the ones you didn't get to finish. I know how important it was to you. 

You're missed more than you could ever imagine and we're thinking of maybe having your finished work published as a tribute to you and your talent.
