# About me
I just turned 68,I have 3 children, I have 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandson, been married 44 years to my 1st wife. Mostly-retired professional portrait photographer, Ex-IBMer. Passion is wildlife photography. I enjoy watching DA photographers grow and learn. Some I learn from, some I just admire.I enjoy passing on what I've learned in 40 years of photography, I double majored in art and psychology in college. I'm a creative speller. I'm a US Marine, a viet nam vet, Like 60 minutes, , I've read almost every Dean Koontz book written. My new motto is:
"if not now? When?" So if the sun is out, I hope to be out with my cameras. Happy 2012

I just spent over an hour going through your gallery. Time well spent indeed! Your captures are incredible and they inspire me to paint some wildlife I didn't think I'd ever be interested in painting. Do I have your permission to use any of your pics as references? I am a "hobby artist"

I started my wildlife photography as reference for my own wildlife paintings. I gave up painting to really persue my photography. Just be respectful of my work and give credit if you are ever published.

yeah it's been that way out here also. Most of my birds are only active for the first 2 hours of daylight, then they hide in the cool trees. I've been shooting more bugs than birds recently.I have been enjoying the Macro world... camera's lighter and you don't have to walk very far in the heat.

You should come down and check the eagles out at lock 14. There were close to forty or fifty eagles down there this past weekend. It's a great place to get shots of them when they're active

Where is lock 14? Minn. or into Iowa? Anywhere near Burlington?
I heard last year they had over 500 eagles in the area.
