Well, I'm mostly still on here so I can keep in touch (sorta) with people I've come to know, and who I don't have any other way of contacting (like you)
and post drawings when I feel like it, cus I don't really know another site for that.
I think most users here are under like 16 years of age?
Most people leave DA, because they grew older and now have finals/jobs/college to worry about. (I'm doing a creative course/study so I don't have to worry about that, that much)

Well I do English Literature at university... I don't know why I do, its boring and I... kinda don't like reading. 8D Hurhur, I'm so smart....

And it's sad how much dA has changed, I'm seeing people who've only been on for like .. 3 months already have premium accounts and like 900 watchers and 1000000000+ favourites. :/ and worst of all, they can't draw. It's become a popularity contest and that's honestly depressing. And I notice people will have a drawing of a dog and post it underneath 100+ groups such as k-on, anime and other UNRELATED groups, it gets on my nerves. ¬¬

Aww awesome, I would have loved to do something like game design but I don't think I would actually be good enough OTL

I picked english lit. cause like if I get a degree in english, its pretty broad, I could become a teacher or... something. Or an english teacher in Japan o.o that'd be awesome. But yeah, I picked it for its broad range of jobs I could get. I want to work in a pet store though lol!

Really? I feel like it's similar to tumblr or something. -3- psssh. I've been trying to promote my art but even when I post it to groups, it rarely gets any likes or views. I mean, yeah I know my art is crap but its much better than what I did 6 years ago which people still faved. xD

uuuuh, you can get a grade ranging from 1 to 10.
your grades of the last 6 years combined (50% of final grade) and your finals grade (50%) are added up.
a final score, per subject, below 5,5 is no good.
you can NOT have a score below 5,5 each for Dutch, English and Math , EVER. If you do it's instant fail.
other than that you can have, I think, two 5's.
However you have to compensate that with at least two 7's.
so you can have a 4, but you have to have an 8 to compensate.

Whoa. I read that twice and I can barely wrap my brain around it. Like, over here we take ACTS, and it's like we get a Math, Reading English and science test. All together it takes about 4 hours, so that's an hour for each.

 On each thing we get an individual score, and also a total for the whole thing.
From like 10 to 36. 36's are like GENIUS levels, so barely anyone gets them. A good score would probably be in the 20s and up, below is kinda bad...
For me, I got
a 16 in math (real bad. lol. )
a 21 in Science
a 25 in English
and a 30 in reading. My total was 24, so I did pretty okay. I'm real proud of that 30, honestly lol

Yeah! lol we walk across the stage in our caps and gowns. The music and everything, lol. 

No, you still have to pass your classes and stuff, and finals, too. You also need to do 40 hours of community service.  And yeah, ABCDF. Letter  grades are for like all class work and regular tests, the ACTS are like their own thing and have specific ways of grading. I don't know why, but we skip the Es here, lol. 
well, reading is like you read a passage and answer questions. English is more like sentence structure and vocabulary. 

 And 36? I don't know. I guess cuz there's 75-40 questions in each section, so it all adds up differently. And lol don't worry about it, I like answering them! It's really interesting how different it is.

So different from ours, I just went there in slightly-more-fancy-than-normal-because-my-mom-wanted-me-to clothes.
And had my name called with a little speech about me by the teacher(s), as did every other student.
then had to sign my diploma (as sign that all information on it is correct)

Wow, we don't even get out real diplomas. They hand you like a blank paper. We had to actually go back to the school a week later and get a packet with all our information in it. ( like Transcripts, Immunization records, report card, etc. ) I'm not sure why it's really celebrated over here, maybe because a lot of people drop out, or don't graduate on time. 

Yeah, like volunteering. There were a lot of options, like going around cleaning the streets, attending local events, like handing out water at marathons, or going in for daycare or at an old folk's home. You know? Stuff you don't get paid for, just do to help out. It's really good, shows people you're dedicated, you know?
