I ran through the forest near a cave. I was cold, afraid, and lost.

A blue dragon with blood red claws, wings, and spikes was happily washing himself in a river far away, glad to have a relaxing bath after a long hard week. The authorities were gaining ground as they searched for you. Just to the right was an old cave. Perhaps you would be able to hide deep inside and they would pass right over you. What you didn't know, was that that cave belonged to him.

I immediately ran inside and cowered behind a large rock. My heart was pounding out of my chest and I was cold to the touch.

The authorities passed over the cave. One only went so far as to shine a light inside but moved on with the rest. The cold wind blew in from outside. But you could feel some warmth from farther into the cave. The dragon decided he'd had enough and crawled out of the water before walking back home, letting the water dripping off of him.

I ran deeper into the cave, desperately trying to find that warmth. Little did I know a fierce dragon was approaching.

Around a few bends, was a roaring fire in the center of the cavern, giving you plenty of heat. There seemed to be several connecting caverns all with large entrances. Upon reaching the outside of the cave, the dragon growled lightly in frustration, smelling your chasers who had already left. "Time to leave again..." He muttered. Their scent masked yours so he didn't notice it as he walked inside.

I was sitting by the fire, trying to keep warm. "Nice and toasty..."

You could hear the clacking of talons on stone with heave footsteps and a deep powerful voice muttering, "Damn humans..."

I gasped and immediately tried to hide. I shuddered with fear and whimpered.

The blue dragon walked in, grumbling. He laid down where you had been and stared into the flames.

The cave was now quite dark. "Is someone there?" He asked aloud, having heard the whimper.

"I-I-I'm sorry!" I said fearfully.

His head snapped around to your general location since he couldn't see you, "Who's there?" He demanded.

I came out, shaking infear as I cried. "PLEASE DON'T HURT ME!" I BEGGED.

His aggression immediately vanished upon seeing you, "A young human...?" He mumbled to himself in disbelief.
