My character started to take too much time.

And having done it for many years already, I felt I needed to do something else anyway.

I was already contemplating stopping for a year or so prior.

I'm still around though, and can leave occasional snarky comments (just my type of humour).

But mostly just collect sexy desktop background pictures, takes much less time.

Glad you enjoyed the character though.

I have found myself slipping, especially the last year or so before I quit.

Was more and more often to just leaving rather regular comments.

But I couldn't break character, now could I? I was very dedicated to the role.

Now I do kinda see Yoko as my waifu, but so do alot of people here on DA, but I have always been fully aware she's a fictional character.

That's just the magic of fantasy roleplaying. ;) (Wink)

Also, I have NEVER said Samus (or any other character that isn't Yoko) was my girlfriend/waifu.
