I did. "A Certain Step" was my first Veela fiction, actually. I loved it! (I love wings, lol!). And Drarry is my obsession. I could draw them day and night! Which I do, actually! *chuckles*

 How cool!  It was a first for me too - first Veela story (and only at this point).  I swear, I learned WAY TOO MUCH about competitive dancing. LOL  But, I had lots of fun with the research and the music.  


That's the beautiful thing about HP; there are so many ships and everything is so versatile!

I can imagine, all the research! but it must have been fun. And it was worth it, the fiction is fav! *grins*


The characters in the HPverse are very strong (most of them, anyway) and generally feelings run deep and the tension is palpable. That's why the pairings are so versatile. I ship Dramione and Drarry, I think because the dynamics are very similar in both. I love Snape in most pairings because, well, I love Snape. Most other I'll only read if I like the author. Except Ron/Hermione, I can't abide that one! Ginny/Harry I don't like much either. So maybe I just don't like cannon pairings. LOL!!

 I love Snape as well!  God, I love Snarry, Snupin, Snager (I'm sorry, I crack up every time I write that... ), even a bit of Snilly.  I guess he's my fandom bicycle.
