You seem to have misunderstood. Yes, I faved your works. That isnt an open invitation to promote yourself on my profile and use me for your own personal gain. I don't appreciate it. I shouldn't need to put up a sign saying not to self-promote, I wouldn't put up an ad for myself on your or anyone else's space just because they faved my work. I actually look at what other people drew and try to even give comments on their works if I find something to talk about or advise.
You on the other hand simply saw me as an excuse to show off and solicit on my profile.

This is a common practice on DA this is why i suggest you to say on your profile you don't want it.
Also i didn't want to promote for a personal gain but to invite people (and you too) to my contest.
