whatsup? i took a look at your gallery, i love your paintings! And your style is right up my ally. You know, i always believed that you were a more skilled artist than I, and after taking a look at your profile I find this to still be true

Thank you! Though I would never say that I'm better than you. You're an amazing artist! and probably have far more patience on your art pieces than i do!

oh me too!!! It's been that way for me the past 2, almost 3 years. I've sat down a couple of times and tried to draw something out on paper but i just wasn't feelin it. and Whatever i did come up with was pretty much half-assed and lacking emotion, movement..and.. well shading. lol. And something I would never in a million years upload. I think it started mostly from stress because of one of my last jobs that left me so unmotivated. And then because I was there so long and in such a slum, I never really got out of it. Though, the last few nights I've been pushing myself and I've finally drawn a couple things... Which I'm happy with the way they're turning out. But they're definitely works in progress. I might do a few updates on facebook until they're finally finished. Just rough sketches at the moment though. Also because I've been pushing myself, my hand is a bit more steady than it was the last time i tried to draw anything I'm intending my groove comes back. And yours too!

its good to hear you are pushing yourself and are happy with the results, i look forward to seeing them. you know, i think one thing that really affects my mood to draw is the environment im in. for example, some of my best work has been when i was sitting behind a desk in some mind-numbingly boring class, and the only way to entertain myself was to draw, so i did. now that thats gone, its harder to do, i think. but you said you had a stressful job? what did you do?

i had the most inspiration when i was depressed. It was i constantly had images flashing across my mind and my hand had a mind if its own. Then once i was out of high school and climbed out of my depression and started working, my inspiration went away and my mind got bored. And whatever i drew afterwords just looked like scratches on paper. Kinda felt like i forgot how to draw for a while. Lol. As for the recent inspiration, i have no idea what its coming from. Oo i got a scanner now! So i should have the drafts up on facebook within the next couple of days

what were you depressed about?

Brokenkittywings In reply to DearFellow [2011-02-28 11:30:35 +0000 UTC]
oi.. Everything. Still getting over joe at the time. Other stresses i never had the time to deal with catching up to me. Things that happened when i was little, switching schools, horomones, boys, weight problems, life, the whole shebang. Im not entirely sure when the tipping point was, but i became horribly depressed. For 3 years. And a large part of it i felt quite suicidal. Going through your own personal hell isnt the greatest experience. I was pretty fortunate that my family had a close friend who happened to be a psychiatrist.. He usually runs between 90 to 110 bucks an hour but i saw him for two years for free. He's one of the most amazing kind people i have ever met. Yea things changed a lot after i left crescent. Haha.

he was definitely an awesome guy and i was beyond blessed at the time that he was in my life. Sadly i don't know where he is now. He moved to Utah... He was getting very late in age and his health was going downhill so he went there to live for the remaining few years he has.

hahaha. I USED to be a gamer.... When i was 10.. And i mainly rode the horse and let my brothers beat it for me. Though i have fond memories of jumping epona over fences, playing my ocarana, running through the woods and fishing for hours. Lol! So bad ASS!

i actually have Oot for gamecube. havent beat it yet, but im working on it. but since i didnt play it when it came out, i have kind of been spoiled with the newer TP graphics so it kind of takes away from the experience of playing Oot, it just seems so old and archaic! lol. but if i had played when it had first come out, im sure it would have been like my favorite game ever. its definitely pretty good

awesooome. yea i never play games anymore... I rarely even watch tv! I haven't turned mine on it over a month.. though i'm online more often than not, so i'm really not deprived. lol.
yeaa... I went 2 months without watching a movie. Until yesterday. I've been home sick and i remembered I had netflix.. i watched 3 crappy movies.. one right after the other. I think i'm good on movies for another few months....
