Thanks! What inspired me to learn Japanese is violin. When I started playing my teacher taught me out of Japanese Suzuki books, she also taught over in Japan. With her talking to me about Japan so much it peaked my curiosity and I fell in love with it from there on. My senior year of college, I took a Japanese class and that taught me the basics of how to write in Japanese. Now I am learning through a site called livemocha. Its free to use and it has actual native Japanese speakers that help you.
