So I'm pretty sure you use Apophysis for your nebulas. Am I right?

And if you do, what setting in apophysis do you put it on? Cause the things I've made in that program look nothing like your stuff.

yup ;) (Wink) using apophisys 7X. and mostly i use "foci" variation, then it's mostly about luck as i'm to lazy to fidle with transformations in editor. but to be honest you could get at least one decent flame from 10 only by just applying foci variation. and then it's just photoshop work
