Personality: He is rude, cruel, mocking, and may even appear ‘evil’. While much of this is in fact how he is, much of it is also a façade, created to make people distance themselves from him. He does enjoy hurting others for his own gain, but only those who he has no connection to; strangers. Or enemies. Because he never forgets anything, he literally holds grudges forever, and suffers for long periods of time when emotionally harmed. This is also why he distances himself from people, to avoid this. He is extremely bitter inside, and lashes out when people point out parts of himself that he hates and cannot change, mainly his age, his full name, his accent, etc. The true ‘center’ of his being is good, though. He is not really ‘evil’, as much as he would appear so. If faced with the dilemma, he would fight for the greater good, as long as the outcome left him alive and well. He is always at inner war with himself, with his emotions pitted against his logic and self-forced solitude, and the latter party almost always wins, used to win, it hadn’t lately. He is, however, a very emotional creature and this can be easily observed if you know him well enough. He constantly craves love and affection, but denies himself it, and refuses to show it to anyone else, even going as far as to leave any time he starts to get attached to someone. Of course, at the house, he did not leave, so these relationships formed, and now he literally cannot break them, due to the emotional pain he would inflict upon himself. He gives the illusion of being optimistic while actually being quite pessimistic, and can go on and on telling about himself without actually giving away anything personal about his being. He flirts with nearly everybody without really meaning it, and is not past grabbing someone for a kiss or trying to get them in bed with him.
Action/Behavior: Usually rude, harsh, and somewhat cruel. Also somewhat cocky. Enjoys putting himself before others and watching others experience discomfort or fear due to himself or his actions. Intentionally tries to become hated by everyone he meets. However rarely, will show himself to be kind and soft-hearted to friends and people he loves. These people, however, are few and far between.
Opinions: Every living being is garbage. Life has no purpose, and is simply meant to be lived. He believes that he is a monster and therefore does not need or deserve friends, affection, or love.
Mannerism: He likes to kiss everyone, simply to say he has or to bother them. He also accidentally bites himself a lot. Gets uncomfortable and feels he needs to go wash up right after he’s done something to get himself dirty. Tends to talk faster than most people. Swears quite a bit.
Quirks: Slight OCD about being clean. Sometimes speaks to himself when he’s alone and irritated. Known to shift forms in his sleep. Doesn’t usually refer to people by their real names, and instead gives them nicknames himself and calls them that. Almost bipolar-ish mood swings. May possibly be sort of insane, but that’s up to debate.
Morals: What morals? There is nearly nothing he will not do. The only thing he is above is rape and animal abuse. Everything else, from murder to necrophilia, is what he does for fun. This has changed, though. He has started to see how awful he has been, and is really regretting it. Especially murder. He very mush wishes he had never done any of that.
Motivations: Self interest and self preservation. Free spirit. Very rarely, depending on the person, protecting another for his own sake and happiness. Only if he feels the effort of protecting them will be justified in the end, and that the pain earned will be less than the pain of losing that person. Though this has changed as of late, and he has grown to the point of putting himself before others, not for his own sake, but for theirs.
Powers: Shapeshifting. Limited only to what he can or can’t imagine. He can become anyone, or anything, as long as he keeps himself together. The exception to this is his goop form, which is extremely dangerous for him. While he can freely change his size, his weight never changes. He is also immune to disease, poison, drowning/suffocation, and death by old age, though he is still uncertain on that last one. He has the capability of using magic and being fairly powerful with it, but lacks the motivation. Lastly, he may enter the realm of the Gods, but it takes a fair amount of energy to do so, though he does not show this. He is also much easier to find there, so he rarely enters it.

Satyr Culture: The satyrs are a nature loving race, and make up about 5% of the planet’s population. With a life span of 90-110 years, then generally live in western Europe, and Greece, though they have spread throughout the globe. The largest satyr community is in Greece where their God, Pan, resides, and this is where the important figures tend to flock and dwell.
The satyrs have no particular powers as some of the other species do, though many do possess strong magic, as well as an extremely high tolerance to alcohol. Nymphs drive them crazy, and a nymph wife is one of the most coveted things to them. Their God, Pan, has more children than most of the other Gods do, and frequently takes his own daughters to wife. Rumor says that this is because he is trying to create another satyr God by mating with his own demi-God children generation after generation, but thus far his attempts have proven unsuccessful. Though, going by this theory, Pandora would be the most qualified to be his next wife, as well as to possibly be the closest of his children to a full God.
Disabilities: Insomnia, liable to lose control to his emotions and lose himself, does not yet understand the full potential his powers give him, can easily be killed by any physical wound, very short temper, terrified of guns, a bit sexist towards women(meaning he doesn’t think a chick could ever take him on)

Past: Contrary to what you might think, he was not a very mischievous child. He kept himself out of trouble and did everything his mother told him to do, even if it made him unhappy. He grew up in what would be Germany on Earth with only his mother, who showed him off as a trophy and did not actually view him as a ‘child’. He was not allowed to associate with other children and thus grew up completely alone, for the most part, which led to his belief that he was simply meant to be alone. At the age of ten, his father came to claim him, and he learned of his true parentage. From then on, he spent half of his time with his mother, and half with his God father and Penelope. It was around this time that he started to grow bitter, after learning that his only reason for existing was to work for his father. Initially he reached out to Penelope for affection, wishing to see her as a mother figure, but she rejected him, and it was after this that he completely shut himself out from other people. He went to a ‘school’ for only demi-Gods (school is a lightly used term, as there were only seven people other than himself) and had an education, as well as training with his own shapeshifting. Even there, he refused to fully interact with the others, and distanced himself from all but Lurline, who he met there. After this, he took up the job for a few years as a messenger for his father, in Penelope’s place, but grew furious with his fate and ran away. He was allowed an unspecified amount of time to live his life how he wanted, so he moved to Earth where anything was acceptable for him, and has been living there since, dreading the day his father will decide that it is time for him to return.
Canon: In canon, Jackal is actually much younger. He’s really some twenty or so years younger than Sissy and Atlas. He ends up as a servant to an older, necromancer Sissy, after she slits his throat and brings him back under the condition that he will serve her. Eventually he is let go, and left with the task of looking after Sissy’s daughter, Charlotte. Each of the four main characters have a term given to them, and Jackal’s is the Crimson Hornet.
Secrets: So much of his life is a ‘secret’.
As much as he wants to hate his mother, he can never completely do that. Because she is family. This goes for everyone else in his family. He values family a lot, since he felt like he never really had one. And he would love a family of his own. He’s just terrified of it.
He was almost, almost in love with Lisa’s mother, Lurline, but he left just in time.
He enjoys nature a lot more than acts like he does, and technology freaks him out.
He’s a lot smarter than he acts.
He doesn’t really hate kids as much as he acts. He just doesn’t want anything to do with them, especially babies. Anything past seven or eight, he can deal with.
He really doesn’t like being the center of attention. In fact, being the center of attention scares him.
He wishes he were completely human.
Social Skills: Fine with taunting and joking, and easy enough to start up a conversation that isn’t too serious or long, but completely socially awkward when it comes to friendship, serious matters, dealing with groups as the center of attention, etc.

Under the Christmas tree was a package wrapped in sparkly green paper with a silver bow and a card with Jackal's name written in cursive on the front. Inside was a little note, also written in nice cursive. "Thank you for all you've done for me. : ) Merry Christmas! Hope you like the gifts." Inside the package were several things. He of course changed out his normal earrings for these, and put on the other two gifts. Yesss. Yes. Adelaide knew him well. He was pleased.
