Honestly, quit asking artists to put adopts on hold. You always use the same reason for the hold but you never pay for them. You’re scamming us by doing this, you say you’re going to pay for something but then you never actually follow it up. I don’t care what your excuse is going to be this time, if it’s a car crash or whatever, I seriously don’t care. I'm glad this is finally catching on. I made a journal about this deviant a month or so ago. Not naming them, as I don't want a witch hunt, but they're continuing to put artists on hold. At last tally they owed well over 1200 dollars worth of adopts. They never plan on paying for all of them to begin with; they go back later and cherry pick what they want, and then never notify the artist. They don't seem to get or understand how what they're doing is affecting artists.

Artists are kind enough to do so, and generally I've seen people give up to a one week grace period. After tallying up the amount owed, this deviant owes well over 800 dollars. The excuse is "hold until next payday." I privately warned this user once, that what they were doing was not right, and although it doesn't technically break any rules on deviantart to my knowledge, you wouldn't show the same courtesy to your mechanic, or doctor. Or anyone else in any other profession. They don't care when you get paid. They give you services, and you give them money. It's honestly, a very simple transaction. If you know you don't have the money. Then don't bid. Artists are not your personal credit card. There are occasions in which things happen, and that's ok. That's life.
But you're currently bidding on open adopts WHILE asking for a hold on items you bid for last week. Unbelievable. There

Please stop acting like you don't know man. I sent you a note. I've warned you politely. I've kept your name a secret. You have HUNDREDS of adopts on hold, you recently told two people that you've been in a car accident so you don't have the money, and now you're bidding on adopts again. Yes but the issue is that I'm not the only one. And I don't feel I'm ranting, I've politely asked you to stop, your only response was "Don't worry." No one knows you on here. Your account is new. Why doesn't your friend make his own account? I've asked you for the full story, and you've not yet given it. The only reason why I'm coming forward is because I've had SEVERAL people complain, so I don't feel that you've been tying up the lose ends you feel you've been tying up.
And even if you're going through the ones you're getting, that's fine. But you put a LOT of people on hold. That's not ok. We're not here to save our work so you can cherry pick what you want later. It's just not proper etiquette.
