Oh wow! Yes, COME TO ME JURI/BEELZEBUMON SHIPPERS!!

I always really liked the idea of their dynamic. That Juri and Impmon/Beelzbumon would have a really tense relationship that would grow into a genuine friendship over time (if Tamers had gotten a second season). They're very similar in the sense that they both inadequate, but for different reasons. Impmon desired to be physically strong, but neglected his heart in the process. Juri, on the other hand, had this weird combo of being both strong and weak mentally and emotionally.

All in all, I just really love that they have this great potential for learning from each other. Beelzebumon could teach Juri how to be strong (at least mentally and emotionally) in the face of adversity, while Juri would teach him to be kinder and gentler with others.

They just give me a lot of feelings.

I can see why not many people see them being together, whether as friends or in a romantic light. In a lot of fanworks, Impmon/Beelzebumon tends to get pushed to the side or barely mentioned, despite him being both very important to the story and having very interesting, albeit tragic, personal struggles. It's probably because most fans see the two characters in an extreme light, with Impmon/Beelzebumon being unnecessarily cruel all of the time (even after his reformation) and Juri being a weak, whiny little girl, despite being shown as brave and independent in the series (she took on Orochimon without even flinching, good lord).

There's also the fact that it could be considered bestiality if they ever got together in a romantic light since they are of two different species, and I can see how others would shy away from that. Not to mention, it's depicted pretty clearly that Juri and Takato have feelings for each other, so people usually pair them up or pair Juri with any other human member of the team. Personally, while I could still see Juri/Takato as being a thing, I can't help but feel that Takato would be a bit too much of a yes man and an enabler when it comes to Juri, especially in light of all that has happened. Beelzebumon (or even Ruki) would kind of be a better match up for Juri because, although he would be kind to her, he also would be the type to call her out on her bullshit and tell her to buck up when needed.

Forgive me for kind of rambling, but it's so rare to find others who share this Ship. Feel free to send me a message if you ever want to talk about it in the future!

This beautiful wall of text! I've reread this so many times! I agree with you on so many levels that I don't even know where to begin!

Ugh, why couldn't they give me a better Tamers movie that showed the newfound friendship with Impmon and Juri. I also like to think that Impmon would start o have a crush on her and see why Leomon told her she had a strong heart.I always wished that after the Drama CD (Juri's message to Callumon and Impmon) Impmon would reply to her that she was the one who made him choose the right path. (I'm sorry but I couldn't myself but giggle when Ai & Mako did not have a message for him. XD And I'm pretty sure they are capable of sending one since Shao Chung sent one to Lopmon and Terriermon.) I also still wish that Impmon would be Juri's new parnter

Yea, it's still sad to see this couple ignored. Whenever I check Impmon/Beelzebumon fanwork in pixiv, he's always paired with Ai. I honestly feel that the only reason it's so popular is because she kissed him. (And forgetting that Ai said "we" love you) In my shipper head XD, after Mako gave him the toy gun and told him to fight off the bad guys, I like to think it represented Beelzebumon's newfound inner strength to protect and save Juri. Likewise with Ai, when she told him they love him. With his strength and love, Beelzebumon gave his all for Juri.  (I hope you understand what I'm trying to say. XD And I know this is obviously not the case, but I can't help myself to daydream XD)

I only support the Takato/Juri ship because I know how much they like each other. Other than that, that ship doesn't get me in the FEELS like the Beelzebumon/Juri ship. (I'll never forget how desperate he was trying to save her. I was crying and my heart felt really tight.) Oh, in the episode where Takato is taking "Juri" home and he starts to confess to her made me feel pretty angry. I know he was trying to make her happy but I just didn't think it was the time XD
Yes, I love the relationship between Ruki and Juri! I love how Ruki is always taking Juri under her wing and will correct her if Juri made a mistake.(I think Beelzebumon would also do this to Juri) 

As I have said before, reading this made my day and I'm stil happy to be able to talk to someone about this ship! Back then, I was so shy to even express who I shipped because I was scared to be shunned away from the fandom.

Pffft. Grammar mistakes are no biggy. And as for daydreaming about it, what do you think I do all day? XD

What really hooked me on them being good partners was realizing how they were weird parallels of each other. They both has some pretty serious insecurities that they struggle with on a daily basis (Impmon's concerns with being weak and Juri's fear of everyone leaving her because she is a "bad person"), the fact that they vehemently mask their insecurities (Impmon talking big while not being able to back it up and Juri being extra, super nice to everyone), and when those insecurities are finally confronted, they completely fall apart (Impmon first reacts reacts towards others with anger before turning it inward and becoming depressed, while Juri goes straight into depression). It's only after their interactions with each other do they finally start turning their lives around and become better people for it.

While I did enjoy the "Runaway Locomon" movie for expounding upon Ruki's troubles and insecurities with her father leaving her at a young age, I really couldn't help but think about how a movie about Juri and Impmon/Beelzebumon meeting again after the Digimon returned would have been far more interesting. I could see Juri being alright with Impmon (after all, when the group first figures it out that Beelzebumon is Impmon, Juri makes some comment on how she couldn't believe that he could turn into such a scary-looking Digimon. Actually if I remember correctly, in the Japanese version I think that she mentioned that Impmon was cute in that scene XP), but I don't at all see Juri being very comfortable around Beelzebumon, even if he was only in that form in order to protect her and the others. There's just a lot of potential for drama in that sort of situation, with Juri fearful of him, but ashamed of her weakness and also of treating a friend that way and Beelzebumon would be frustrated with both her (for not trusting him, even though he KNOWS that she's not to blame) and himself (of course, for all of his previous actions against the Tamers). It would have been so easy to build upon this premise and have the two form a genuine connection with each other.

Personally, I don't really like Ai and Mako. Part of this is because we see so very little of them in the show, and also because our first impression of them is rather awful. A lot of people defend their initial actions towards Impmon as them just being little kids and that's what little kids do. While I do agree that little kids can be awful and selfish (I've babysit enough brats to know that's the truth), I can't excuse their actions because of how it affects Impmon. The first humans he becomes close to treat him like garbage and physically and emotionally abuse and manipulate him. It's no wonder that he has such a poor outlook on humans, especially humans with Digimon partners. All of his past experiences tell him that one day Takato, Ruki, and Jenrya will turn on their partners and hurt them. A lot of Impmon's problems with the Tamers is this dissonance between his expectations of all humans being awful and the reality that this group of children are genuinely kind to their partners (not so much Ruki at first, but she gets better). This continues until Juri spares Beelzebumon's life, and for the first time he realizes that humans CAN be nice and kind and caring for Digimon without expecting to receive anything in return. It's an earth-shattering realization for him, which quickly becomes overshadowed by his realization of how HE'S been acting towards them this whole time and the awful and cruel things that he has said and done to them.

Not to mention that Ai and Mako ARE still just kids, and I can easily see them getting into more fights over time. Can you just imagine how horrified Impmon would be at seeing his partners fighting again, even after they said that they wouldn't anymore? That would be traumatizing to him! It would be much better for him to have been paired with Juri because even if they fought, Juri is old enough to be more rational and reasonable than a 4-5 year old, and the fact that she's so sensitive to the emotions of others means that she would KNOW when she's going to far and would be able to stop and comfort Impmon if need be.


Aaaaaand after that wall of text, how about some random cute ideas?

Juri sitting on Beelzebumon's lap. Like, whenever they're together, Juri just goes over and clambers onto his lap and Beelzebumon barely even notices. He just moves a bit so she can get comfortable and they pretty much just stay like that no problem.

Beelzebumon picking Juri up from school. I would feel so bad for the other students. There's just this huge-ass biker demon chilling in front of the school entrance unintentionally being totally intimidating. And then this little girl just runs out of school, hugs him, and then he picks her up and takes off for her home.

Beelzebumon using his wings to shield Juri from the rain, even if it means that he gets wet.

The two of them sleeping together. Since he's so much bigger, Beelzebumon would sort of curl around her and throw an arm or a wing over her to keep her warm and Juri would just be pressed up against his chest and I can't even >////<

Beelzebumon giving Juri kisses because he only understands that it's a way to show deep affection, but doesn't get the full social context of what it means, especially kisses on the mouth. And Juri just gets all flustered, but never tells him to stop.

Fffuuu, I swear, these two really needed to be partners! They would get to know each other better and realize they were both in tough situations. (Ugh, at least I have the Drama CD!) I just love the little trio we would have: Juri, Callumon and Impmon!
All the cute interactions between these three would have killed me!

Aaaaaaah, Beelzebumon helping Juri out with homework is adorable!! Except for the fact that he can't read. But then Juri can just TEACH him how to read and Beelzebumon gets frustrated with it really easily, but Juri can get him to calm down and focus again. Just imagine it, this huge biker demon struggling to read simple, colorful children's picture books while he's trying to learn!!! I have to file that idea away for later maybe :wink:

And when Beelzebumon gets fed up with how long it's taking Juri to finish her homework, he just "kidnaps" her and takes her flying and maybe they get some snacks to eat together at the park.

How can anyone not love these two being adorable together??
