I blocked him, because honestly, I'm afraid to speak my mind anymore due to people who "flame" and act like asses in general. I'm generally a bit too sensitive for the internet.

No matter how much I feel (or even know) that I'm right, or at the very least have the American-given right to express my own opinions, other people's responses usually make me retreat back into my 'shell'.

That's what's great about alternative accounts. You can call out the douchebags who deserve to be called out on. Some people need a wake-up call, because hardly anyone else will.
