I used a free program called MyPaint, it's basic and very easy to use!

its an awesome piece, one of my most favorite pics on the site.

tho can you tell me a little about the painting style you used? looks almost like oilpaint,

but different somehow.

Oh, it's actually drawn digitally in Paint Tool Sai, with a brush created from a watercolour stained paper, I practically use this brush for everything these days, and with the same texture added to some of the layers, hope this makes any sense ^^
