Hey! Finally! A human being has looked all my gallery through! Thank you so much! usually people notice one or two picture in case you have submitted them 5 minutes earlier. 10 minutes make the viewers indifferent. What's wrong with the world?!

My pleasure. It's going to take a while to get through it all, but I most certainly will.

I really enjoy it when I find people with a variety of work in their gallery.

Heh, the world's OK... just that some of the people in it suck!!

Oh yeah for sure! I will visit and comment on your works. I'd like to tell you that I find your self-portraits interesting and challenging, they all contain a sense and meaning in themselves (which I appreciate most in photography). One can imagine a story looking at your self-portraits if one have imagination at all. The symbol of nakedness, being exposed to any kind of influence is vividly traced but I can't still make the burden out. I think It is awesome to take one's naked self-portraits. I got one, but it was taken by my model, so it's not quite a self-portrait)))
Keep on taking your self-portraits!

Firstly, Thanks a lot for taking the time to look through my gallery.

Secondly, thanks a lot more for commenting, and for such a considered opinion. It is very much appreciated.

There were three reasons why I initially started taking self portraits rather than using a model:
1. I'm willing. (plus of course, I'm happy to do anything I want me to )
2. I'm reliable.
3. I don't cost anything.

I look forward to seeing more from you.

Don't you mind) I like looking through different galleries of people here as I believe that one picture is not enough to judge smb's creativity. Sometimes it appears that this mister SOMEBODY has actually no creativity!
By the way we russians have a russian word which means CREATIVITY but we also use your english word "creativity" if only a little bit changed. For instant we say creativ stressing the last syllable = crea'tiv!!! Sometimes when I'm fed up with this loan translation I start speaking English to them and they get lost!

I also think that self-portrait is the most difficult genre in photography. It assumes self-portrait, understanding of one's built and moral state. Moreover you do not see yourself through the lens and it makes composition setting more difficult and unpredictable. To my mind Self-portrait is a challenge to one's self!
So I will follow your new works because it interests me! So I wish you great success!

oh,no ..wish I did though I only know a few words.."spasiba" being one of them and whenever someone gives me a fav or a comment, I like to thank that person in its language, that's all. anyway, I supose that "ne za chto" means "you're welcome" or something, right?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

DimaMo In reply to LuciaConstantin [2008-09-03 16:58:14 +0000 UTC]

And I've nearly surprised at your possible knowledge of Russian))) You're funny! I appreciate your intention to thank people in their language it's respectful))) an what's more important it's pleasant))) "ne za chto" means "not at all", by the way how does it sound in your language?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

LuciaConstantin In reply to DimaMo [2008-09-03 17:52:52 +0000 UTC]

well, "ne za chto" in my language sounds like.... aaa " n-ai pentru ce" or "pentru nimic" ! I'm from Romania and here, most of the parents used to take russian classes in their youth, I think that most of them did it in school. I supose it used to be " in fashion" or something just like English is nowadays. Anyway, I've learned a couple of words from my mother and at some point, I wanted to take russian classes too because I like the way it sounds and I'm quite interested in general in foreign languages. There was no time nor determination in order to take those classes but I've tried to learn some stuff on the web

DimaMo In reply to LuciaConstantin [2008-09-07 22:25:09 +0000 UTC]

It's wonderful to find out that your language is also preferable to other people) It flatters to me)
The fact that the countries which formed the former USSR after its collision are so hostile to russian people nowadays is very disappointing...

LuciaConstantin In reply to DimaMo [2008-09-08 17:16:41 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, I meant that when my country (Romania) was ruled my communism certain things were mandatory and in school, kids were learning russian and/or german.I don't agree myself with the hostility towards certain countries/people/races etc.
