The most important start to studying anatomy is to learn the bones, the muscles and their actions. Learn the human machine! As you learn more you'll observe more in the life that is around you. I've learned a lot in the last few years by modeling in sculpture. To see how the forms interrelate has helped me to see much greater subtleties in the anatomy. I feel like I've just begun!

This is absolutely amazing! I... I don't even know what to say!! This is the exact style i'm trying to get at with my pencil works! If i may ask, where do you find the models. Since i'm 16 i take a figure class with live nudes, but when i go off to collage, maybe i can find a studio. Know of any i could jot down?

Thanks! I'm glad that you appreciate it. I feel that I've yet to master it - I'm learning all the time. I've had many years of life drawing. The last couple of years I've been doing mostly sculpture - working directly with form affects the way you look. I'm looking all the time!
