# About me
I was born, apparently this is quite normal, in 1957 and have managed to survive despite everything I have done, although, in a rather battered state.I used to sketch and occasionally paint until life interfered. After a 25 year hiatus I have returned to sketching and painting and trying new directions in art. Last year (2008) I wrote a short story and someone read it, now it is a book (just finished the second book last month) and still not finished.
Sometimes I think the book is writing me.

Dad is still trying to get the book printed, costs are prohibitive but he is getting some printed at home. At the moment he has some proof copies and is looking into cheaper means of getting it printed. At 620 pages (A5 format) it costs about $25 to print and bind but it costs about $4,000 to get 500 copies printed. I could check out postage costs for you and send you a proof copy (which requires you to check it for errors as you read and comment on the book when you finish).
At the moment he doesn't have a cover picture, something about his pencils always giving male characters female form (so he claims, sometimes I suspect its not really the pencils) so the books just have a plain cover.
If you want a little light entertainment work your magic on this [link] dad hasn't gotten around to finishing his version yet, he's a bit slack. Its another scene of the legless beggar but in a very different situation.

No, send it in a note.
Her legs may have fallen off but she doesn't believe she is disabled, there are a few other situations in the book where she surprises people but dad hasn't gotten around to illustrating them yet.
Its Houston.

ok will do
and yes she is a very fascinating character, a very unlikely hero, which is very unique and refreshing, one can get very weary of reading about elves and dragons and god forbid sparkly vampires lol

A little different to the run of the mill, overmuscled, indestructable hero who somehow manages to get through many battles against overwhelming odds without a scratch. If you want to find out how she wound up legless here is the original short story [link] , the book came later (the chapter in the book is a little different and considerably longer).
There are a few alternate heros in the books, several are amputees and The Healer himself is only a short arse.
The vampire theme is getting well into the overdone and increasingly ridiculous zone, don't like the sparkly ones either.
