You really need to view more tutorials on how to make a digital painting. I admit I do not do strict digital painting, but I do however try to make use of space and try to make the picture as clean as i possibly can.
I see that you draw very, very thick lines. Bit by bit try to make them less thick. At 1st sight I thought I thought the deviations were made with a mouse, but once I saw "Tools of the Trade: Wacom Tablet and Pen" my jaw dropped. What do you make the lines with? Because they are too straight to be done by hand and also I would suggest diversing your color scheme inside one work. If you have orange, make the shades a bit bluish, if it's green make shades brown. It adds a bit of depth. And also consider a point of interest. The eye should not be distracted from the character because of all the glows and details: look here, you will learn how to make color balance with this tutorial. [link]
I personally applied the advices and they helped me a lot
Cheers and here's a lily for you

Thank you for all the helpful tips, I will use them, keep them coming. As far as my thick lines, I do them on purpose, im trying to figure out my own style but still dont' have one. The straight lines are done by help of Corel Painter Essentials, theres an option to make your lines more straight.
Ive only been drawing digitally for the past 6 months, before that I hadnt' drawn in over 10 years. But im drawing like crazy now and hope to go to school for it. I love your art style so any tips helps alot. And I agree, one day I wish I could make my outlines thinner. Thanks for the video, im watching it now.

Straighter lines look mousy... and plus I HAVE MORE THAN WARCRAFT, FOR PETE'S SAKE! Why do people always see the fan art and not the original art. I do my novel's art as well
What I wanted to say is try not to use different programs to make your lines than import them into photoshop. Adobe is good for lines as well, but done by hand.
Here's the thing... if you wanna draw straight lines, all you'll ever get out of your characters is straight shapes with no dynamism. Try it! Geometry is good, but don't push it to the edge.
It's not a video, it's a flash tutorial .

I only use Corel Painter Essentials 4 nothing else, are there any programs you recomend for digital art? I don't have the option to "multiply" on my program.
I started doing thik lines because I was going for more of an anime type look, I still dont' posses the skill to make more realistic art like yours.
I saw all your drawings but I thougth the others were fan art from books/games/movies I never heard of, lol. But its all beautiful.

Yes Photoshop whichever over 7.0 - 7.0, CS1, CS2, 3, 4, 5 and forth ^______________^
That's insulting, you know. MY WORK IS NOT FAN ART! My WoW drawings are Fan Art. The rest aren't... Take back what you said
