Greetings, and welcome to my page.
Here you will find some of the best works that I have decided to share with the internet. Feel free to take a look around and comment, if you like.
I have created, with two friends of mine, a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. cosplay/costuming group. Our goal is publishing beautiful shots that can recreate the feeling that is commonly associated with the Zone. We are also in the process of creating our own fan-made short film.

If gas masks had personalities based on looks then what personalities would your favorite gas masks have?

For me gas masks have no expression. I don't see the resemblance of a human face on gas masks, even though the human brain tries to find faces and expressions in all contexts.
I have been handling gas masks for years and now I only see them as tools, so when I look at a facepiece I see only a piece of rubber with some metal on it.

I do like the general look, but there is a thing that, in my opinion, could be improved. The mix between US and Soviet equipment is a bit odd. If you ask me, adding a US mask, especially a WW2 model with a hose or, simply, a M9, could create a more uniform look.
And, as I previously said, a different backpack would also help.
This is my opinion of course, you can choose to modify it as you see fit.

mask - that's a fair point. I actually ended up getting an m40 literally they day after we took these pics, so if I ever do another one i'll use that for my thing. I actualy do have an m9, but it's rather, for lack of a better word, "floppy", and doesn't like to cooperate much.
backpack - that was the only one I have, but one of these days i'm gonna run down to the army navy store and get some gear, and i'll try to remember to get a bag

Good. If you are going to use the M40, which is a pretty modern mask, I would suggest adding some sort of protective vest. A vest would make the setup look a bit more modern, compensating the usage of the M40.

Looks interesting. The only thing I would change is the backpack. Considering that this is almost all US equipment, an Alice backpack would be a candidate.

You could take a look at some surplus store or online. Here they are super expensive, but over there in the US they should be pretty cheap, especially if in bad shape.

I've been looking through your stuff for some inspiration, and I noticed that the stalkers tend to wear camo pants.
I unfortunately do not have any... are dark blue jeans an acceptable substitute?

In my book yes, they are. Even in the games Rookies wear jeans, since they are part of the "Leather Jacket" armour set.
Now, since there is a certain "slavaboo" subculture developing, some individuals might think that Adidas tracksuits are the only thing to be worn as a Stalker and that jeans are the mark of the "western spy".
This people should simply abstain from talking.
