I know what you said, but how do I translate the romaji into Hiragana?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DrSmiles In reply to Cirlin [2007-01-13 20:41:17 +0000 UTC]

what, you mean how did I type in Hiragana? In Linux, there is a multi-language feature that lets you type the romaji and it automatically comes up as Hiragana/Katakana/Kanji. Don't know how to do it in windows though.

Cirlin In reply to DrSmiles [2007-01-13 21:02:31 +0000 UTC]

Ah. Well. Linux rocks, then.
Could you program Theban into Linux? Hypothetically.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DrSmiles In reply to Cirlin [2007-01-13 21:27:06 +0000 UTC]

Yes. You would need to build a font (which everyone viewing it would need) that contains all the glyphs, and then make a plugin for SCIM (Smart Common Input Method, what converts your keyboard input to the other language), which would require understanding of SCIM's architecture. Knowledge of programming languages if a huge (prolly mandatory) plus.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Cirlin In reply to DrSmiles [2007-01-13 22:00:48 +0000 UTC]

But it's really cool that it could actually be done! So is that how people make their own slight variants of fonts already existing also?

Of course, with something like Theban, typing it would kinda defeat the purpose. The only reason Wiccans use Theban is because the effort of the actual process of writing and decoding something you're not used to doing supposedly 'inputs energy' into the script. If it were typed, it'd 'lose it's power.'

"Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us."

Show your friends how much you care. Send this
to everyone you consider a FRIEND, even if
it means sending it back to the person who sent it to you. If it comes back to you, then you'll know you have a circle of friends!

Aww

BTW: I just got back from seeing Narnia...Again...
Yeah, that makes 3 times, which is a lot considering I've been to the theater only about 6 or 7 times total the whole year (including Narnia) and I'm broke

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

KristenPauline In reply to DrSmiles [2005-12-23 03:58:32 +0000 UTC]

^^

hehehe why not just wait until it comes out on DVD. Then you can watch it as many times as you want and never wear it out I liked it but still can't decide if I loved it...I need to see it again myself

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

DrSmiles In reply to KristenPauline [2005-12-23 04:28:42 +0000 UTC]

That is my normal response to a good movie, to just wait for DVD, but I have friends who go to see it, and when they ask me if I want to go along, I can't honestly say no.

I really love this movie...

1. At least 2 people in this world love you so much they would die for you.
2. At least 15 people in this world love you in some way.
3. The only reason anyone would ever hate you is because they want to be just like you.
4. A smile from you can bring happiness to anyone, even if they don't like you.
5. Every night, SOMEONE thinks about you before they go to sleep.
6. You mean the world to someone.
7. If not for you, someone may not be living. 8. You are special and unique.
9. Someone that you don't even know exists loves you.
10. When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes from it.
11. When you think the world has turned its back on you, take a look: you most likely turned your back on the world.
12. When you think you have no chance of getting what you want, you probably won't get it, but if you believe in yourself, probably, sooner or later, you will get it.
13. Always remember the compliments you received. Forget about the rude remarks.
14. Always tell someone how you feel about them; you will feel much better when they know.
15. If you have a great friend, take the time to let them know that they are great.

Okay, I know you don't like chain letter things but I took the part of this that made it a chain letter off and I'm not saying you have to pass it on at all. And I thought it was cute...

Thanks for all the critiques and comments.

Oh wow, you just made my day, you have no idea

Yeah, I don't hate the chain stuff that much, and I'm really loosening up as far that they're concerned (still feel numb from that snowball? ), but I was in a rather busy/anti-social/stressed out mood that week w/ assignments, hence the slightly moody, "I'm not tagging anyone" attitude, so I'm sorry if I sounded "snappy."

Once again, I am feeling that as final crits loom around the corner (Monday, gasp!) and all my final projects are coming due, and your message definitely helped cheer me up, so again, thank you, very much. :')
