# About me
Started playing around with Daz in Feb 2014 when I was thinking about making an RPG Maker game with custom graphics. One thing led to another and here I am on Deviant Art!Name 'Dracis' just popped into my head and seemed suitable as I am a fan of the Sci-Fi, Fantasy and dark erotic art. 'Draci' meaning Dragon in Old English, linked to 'Dracula' seemed oddly appropriate. Generally indifferent to dragons in general as a fire-breathing flying reptile but I've taken one as a Deviant ID. Totally happy to have a stupid name/Deviant ID/avatar combination as well!
Worth mentioning I have a sense of humour, don't take this seriously (it is a fun hobby), open to doing commissions as a laugh, challenge or swap basis and tend to prefer doing dark erotic work. Though I'll try anything if it interests me.

Well deserved, I'm well aware how much time and effort would have went into creating that render. Woman on the jetty seems to have forgotten half her armour as well! - That is one of my bugbears with Daz/Poser, few decent armour outfits for the ladies (at least ones that would do ok in a fight!).
Thank you for the Llama

Hahaha ! I totaly agree with you, armour for the woman are so sexy, not made for fight, perhaps with an another woman with the same kind of armour.
So, here in this render, there are not in combat, but friendly in their town.
Soon I post a render with a warlady with heavy armor.

I recognised your deviant ID, and I'm surprised that I never looked at your stuff before in any detail. But yes naked women in peril, BDSM or just chained up floats my boat!

Thank you - No where near as impressive as 'true' art, with skill from the hands. You should see me trying to sketch with a mouse, pen or pencil!!!
Some of your work is at a par with the semi professional artists I see on here (who take commissions). It made me chuckle when I read your words as being a little nervous.

Wow, thanks so much for the massive compliment Dracis! I still don't consider myself anywhere near that level yet but hopefully with time and commitment will get there someday
and don't sell yourself short! Your 3D art is as good as any I've seen, plus what is true art anyway. I'm sure most people including me wouldn't have the first clue on where to even start with 3D rendering! As long as you're expressing yourself in a way that's true to yourself then it's true art! Plus if others enjoy it, then it's a big bonus!

I did, lots of wrestling!
I've had no real inspiration for a Halloween image, I sometimes enter the Dazaholics competition.

It was my favourite, and I notice the level of detail you put in the images. It was a pity in this one that there was a lot of fireflies (a feeling I know all to well when trying different things). The only thing I could not work out was the sweat - post work brush, or a Daz prop?

Ron's brushes from Daz3d are excellent for that part.

I've rarely tried using brushes to add to the skin texture, maybe I'll give it a go. I'm tempted again to try a lightsaber but I dislike postwork.

Convert with Daz Iray Uber. Use emission the blade and use the provided light images for the saber. I just add the glow in postwork. Postwork is something I use consistently on certain areas. Dreamlight had some good methods in his V7 portrait program.

Ahhh, I don't use Iray, just Reality for Daz or 3Delight. I don't have an Nvidea graphics card and I like how Reality handles textures.
I've tried emission on a Dodger blade and it looked ok, but very similar to a kids play lightsaber. I need to practice with postwork but I use GIMP which has its own steep learning curve.
I've been on the Vanishing Point site but they have a whole range of new goodies since my last visit. I've picked up a few sets of Stormtrooper armour.

Fireflies I think is from being a lower end rig. Something I'm working on with via postwork. But, didn't quite get everything.
Postwork effect and brushwork.

Dracis3D In reply to Arcanious [2016-09-17 18:16:44 +0000 UTC]
It looks like a Lux/Reality image, fireflies are generally from not enough lighting or shiny materials. Your rig will just affect the time it takes to get to say 1000 samples per pixel.

Arcanious In reply to Dracis3D [2016-09-17 18:31:26 +0000 UTC]
I'll definitely keep that in mind. Lighting is something I'm struggling with for some reason.

Dracis3D In reply to Arcanious [2016-09-17 19:23:17 +0000 UTC]
For any scene I work on with Lux/Reality it will have 4+ lights. A portrait will have 3 lights and a bigger scene may have 6/7. It has to be like a Hollywood Studio setup as the camera does not work like a human eye.
With 3Delight I will rarely work with more than 2 spotlights and a shader (eg Uber Environment). Uber Environment is one of the good things that Daz never tell you about, only discovered it by accident. 3Delight cheats so you will never really see fireflies and create unnatural lighting easily.

Reality/Lux are awesome. I have it as well, but couldn't get into the conversion right. To wrapped up in how the shaders work in Iray.
I usually start with an environment/HDR for my fill. Big thing I do love about lux... can adjust your dang lights while render goes!
