I don't blame her.. it's very easy to tell that she's an art thief. All of her drawings are of such different levels that it makes it extremely obvious. That and her translations of the text in the comics being incorrect.

Plagarism is a crime. It completely defeats the purpose of creativeness. Yes, we know that the plagarist are most likely not making any money off the art but the point remains that the plagarist did not create the art themselves. And yet they CLAIM that they created the art themselves.
This completely disses the rightful creator who must have spent a great deal of effort making the art. Who would feel rightfully insulted that her work has been claimed by another.
I asked for a translation because I read the Japanese dailogue and saw that it did not match what was written in the summary in the least.
Stealing is infinitely easier than creating. I can go to any Japanese fan art site, copy and paste the pictures and go and claim it as my own. How would you like it if I took your art and claimed that it was mine and not yours?
Japanese fan artists have been trying to combat the hundreds of plagarists on the net who keep on taking their art and claiming it as their own. It hurts their feelings that the beautiful art that they have spent so much time creating is being stolen and claimed by others. It has gone to the point where certain japanese fan art sites actually ban certain IP addresses if they are not Japanese and similar.
An extreme example is like claiming that the Sistine Chapel's ceiling is your creation and not Michaelangelo's. It is absurd, obscene and a complete insult to the original creator.

i can't say i really want to get joined into this argument, but it looks like im going to have to, even if she did steal the work (which i don't think she did) - as she has been drawing these type of pictures for the last 6 years or so, and as a personal friend of hers, and actually sitting next to her in english class etc, i don't think she did steal them. anyhow, even if she did what is the point of reporting her, why don't you just leave it this time, and give her another chance, the only thing that i can say is if you feel it necessary to report her then you surely can't have anything better to do, its not like shes making millions by posting work on here is it? it maybe is plagurism, but she is not benefiting from it, apart from it boosting her morale. I dont mean to pick on anyone or to make it sound like im having a go at anyone, because at the end of the day i dont know any of the sites your all talking about, but i dont see the point i really dont if someone would like to enlighten me then, yes, please do tell me. im sorry if ive offended anyone, i didnt mean to, and i think that you are all talented artists.

Well, I have a picture saved on my hard drive from this artist, dated May 2nd 2003, saying "Thanks for 35000 hits" for her webpage. I also have the request pic she did for me, and all of these bath house comics that I saved on February 22nd, 2003. I also used to chat with her over email, we were pen pals before her site went down and for some reason I didn't see her after that. If anyone wants proof, I can take screenshots of the dates things were taken, and I can also upload the pictures to prove I have them. I also have the rwquest pic I did in exchange when I did the art trade with her. I have more proof than you can shake a stick at =\
And yes, it's easy to steal art, you just take what someone else did and put your own name on it, like it was your own. I've seen it happen a lot. =\ And especially since this person was my friend a long time ago, I hate seeing it. I can understand that you might have worked with some professional artists, and other stuff like that, but I personally knew this person, and she didn't work with anyone else to get her stuff done. Unless of course, you know me, and you helped her draw her request to me, and you helped her build her webpage.
The art is NOT yours, so please, don't make excuses.

I may only be 17 but i have worked with about three Japanese fanartists, Natsume Sugoi, Ken Taukisin and Dayo Fujiwara.
Neway, they have their friends and associates and we all worked together on some colabaration art, it may be that to what you are refering to. It is also Doujishi.
But just like before i guess, to make some few people happy and to leave me alone, i wont use ne of them. OK? *Sigh*

I'm afraid I have to agree with Yui. "Gym-Elite: Bath-house Part1" I have saved on my computer, taken from "Wataru's" web site over a year ago. (I used to collect Matsuba pictures...) But in any case, I know that image is over a year old, and originally came from Wataru's site.
Unless you are Wataru, that art was stolen.

A lot of your Pokemon art is stolen from a Japanese site that went down a long time ago. I have proof, though, because I have a bunch of art from the site saved ~ also, I used to be friends with the webmaster of that site, and we did an art trade. I have the picture that she did, of Touki and Mikuri and MY original character, with "To Yui" written in the corner. If you don't believe me, I can show it to you or anyone else who visits your page.
I have to ask you to take down the stolen art. If you don't I'll report you for policy violation, along with this story and the picture that was drawn for me, AND the webmaster's original email address.
