Yeah, I hope not. I'm surprised I haven't needed to do that myself. XD I mean, I keep saying I'm going to, and my time online (at least on AIM) has been reduced. Probably because you're the person I most look forward to talking to on there, so if you're not there, it's like...it's not absolutely necessary even if I like to talk to other people.

Yeah, I feel like with everyone else they'll get mad or just not bother to answer. I think I like talking to you partly because you don't just leave without saying goodbye or leave me hanging in the middle of a conversation. I feel like you're understanding enough and like we're on equal ground, so you won't try to show me up with some extreme knowledge, even if you have it, but you also won't just respond with 'yah' or 'lol'.

Hey, I have a question for you. You know how we both seem to want to improve our writing? Well, someone I met recently on dA, suggested that I start a writing exchange with a friend. And, since I think you'd probably willing (though if you don't want to, you don't have to), I figured I'd ask. ^^ If you need more knowledgable details, check out my most recent journal. In the comments, the first one has the suggestion in it and it sounds really fun. So if you're interested, tell me. ^^ It wouldn't have to be an every day thing, maybe like once a week or something, since I know neither of us can devote every second of our time to writing. ^^

Yes, what's a writing exchange, exactly?

Well, what I got out of it, was that we'd give each other certain words that we'd have to use in our pieces that we write, or a certain genre we had to write the piece in. And it could be poetry or prose, whichever we're more comfortable with. And after we've written the pieces, we submit them on dA, and each of us critiques the other's writing, saying what we liked, disliked, what could be phrased better, or reorganized. Here's what the person who told me about it said:
We started off giving each other four words that we had to use in a piece of whatever genre we wanted, and now we've switched to just giving each other a genre to write for. When our pieces are posted, we read them and give reviews on both the good parts and the things that need some tweaking.
She also said it does wonders for the self-esteem and improves your writing a lot.

Whenever you want! We'll have to figure out what we're going to do for the first one, like the words we might use, or the genre, or whatever. We can vary it up, too, like make it a phrase instead, or a sentence, or an emotion that we want to convey through it.
