Welcome to DA! I do also have non-smut LJ and writing.com accounts under the same pen name, Rukilex, if From the Depths is too hardcore for you! Like I said, I created those because I didn't want my underage readers (who are my kids' ages, lol) reading the hardcore PWP smut. But I am enjoying writing it, all the same.

BTW, my brother in law is German - my sister lived there for years (they're in NYC now). My nephews are bilingual/dual citizens. Are you ex-pat or just fluent English (because your English is perfect)?

I forgot to reply to this message. I am from the states just in Germany due to my husband's job. I love it here. I wish I could speak German as well as I speak english but, alas I have not been in this country long enough to be fluent yet.

LOL - that explains it! Although my brother in law's English is amazing! My French was fluent, not so much now, but I never got to his level. My German is passable. Better than my Italian and definitely better than my Japanese! XD

Ha Ha Japanese is another language I would love to learn but, it's basically impossible to do it here in Germany. Maybe when I get back to the states in the future.

Its one of those things that I wish I knew then what I know now I would have definitely learned a language in school, the ironic part my family is originally from Germany (I'm the fifth generation in the states)and that is the language I wanted to learn in high school but, only french and spanish was offered.
