Thank you very much! I feel that my Croatia OC is unique in it's own sense. A lot of the other OCs look similar, in my opinion.

On a different note, you'll probably notice that with the majority of my OCs, there is art where they have facial hair. I feel that in Hetalia, with so many male nations, you would expect more than just Turkey to have facial hair. Croatia was my stand against clean-shaven representations. xD

Your nation is very unique, and I agree, many do look the same. Also most of them are girls(mine too, but it's still nice to see a boy Croatia).

Oh, I agree completely! There are several canon nations that I think should really have facial hair, and that is one of the reasons I like your version of Croatia also.

For me, I try to give the characters rougher looks. I feel that in Hetalia, things are made too "cute", you know? Male nations that are actually pretty hardcore nations in reality, are turned into prepubescent teenage girls (Finland is a good example. I mean, come on. Finland almost beat Russia in a one on one war. There's no way the guy isn't a badass.).

I think it's a good touch. You'll notice that I occasionally change the style of the facial hair on Croatia, but he never completely loses it. I do plan on doing a piece of art with a clean-shaven Croatia though, just to compare it with my other art of him.

By any chance, by the way, do you read fanfiction?

Oh my gosh, I know! And the citizens of Finland certainly aren't stereotyped to be that way, either. When I saw him for the first time I was like "Wait, what? THAT'S Finland?"

I'm looking forward to it, then! And if makes sense that it changes. Styles like that aren't forever.

I do on occasion. It normally depends on the context.

There are variations of the pronunciation, and that's a commonly used one. I typically use 'wih shin ski' though.
