# About me

Hey, my name is Anne. I'm from North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.

As far as I remember, I have been drawing and painting and also writing books for all my life. In 2009, I wanted to start studying Arts - but I failed the University's qualifying examination... Probably because my drawings were too abstract and expressionistic.

Instead, I began to study German and Philosophy for teaching degree for secondary schools and totally gave up drawing for about two years. Later I found the map with that I was rejected by University. At first, I didn't dare to open it because I thought my drawings were too bad to look at ever again. But finally I was surprised because at least they weren't THAT bad :)

So after two years of creative break, in summer 2011 I started drawing again and I hope this was the right decision.

Two years ago, I worked a lot with Indian ink and charcoal and tried to draw abstract and expressionistic pieces. Now I'm coming back to my good old pencils and realistic stuff.

I still have to learn A LOT, but at least I'm happy that I'm drawing at all :)
