Hey!
I had a look at your gallery and since you made such a nice comment and love to use colour oencils, too, I'd like to give you a suggestion:
Try experimenting with the tones you use for shading! For example, if you have a green base colour, use yellow for highlights and a blueish green (or even indigo if you have a dark green as a basis) for shading.
Also purple! I've seen multiple pictures in which purple was used for shadows - I would not have thought that it works, but I tried it on mountains and it looked neat.
Try out some combinations you have not used before - you'll probably discover some surprising matches and give you a good understanding of coulour balance.
I hope this can be of some help for you.

I agree, using different colours to shade with really adds to the liveliness and depth of the picture, while using tone on tone shading makes the pictures look very soft and more dreamlike, but also lacking in contrast. On some of my newer pictures that are not uploaded here (for example my comics), I used different shading and also found that purple worked very well in some situations. But not always. It depends on the surroundings and the lighting and on which colours work together.
I have not done a full scale coloured pencil drawing in a while, but if I do, I will probably use more of the varied shading (unless it's in a dreamworld XD).
Again, thank you for the feedback, I am always happy about comments and it's really nice to be able to talk about art with fellow artists.
