# About me
I'm Caitlin. I'm 21 years old and figuring out what to do with my life. I love writing and reading, and I'm quite picky with what I do and do not read. One of my favorite things to write on are typewriters and I'm amassing a fleet of them. I also love to game. Board games, video games, any game really. I'm a Gamer, and proud of it. I may not be the best, but I have fun and that's all I need.# Comments

and now I actually read you're deviantID, you like good books? Β have you ever checked out Robert A. Heinlein? Β he is (justly in my humble opinion) regarded as the greatest science-fiction writer ever. Β most of his work was done between the forties and seventies, and kinda shows it in places. Β but they still hold up really well.

No, I'm pretty selective when it comes to what I read, mostly I read stuff written in my lifetime, with a few exceptions. I haven't really expanded my collection in a while, since books cost money and I have none, but I'll check him out. I just checked him out - OMG HE WROTE STARSHIP TROOPERS?! I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS A BOOK BEFORE IT WAS A MOVIE. Books, why do you have to cost money when I clearly have none! D: I'm definitely going to have to buy Starship Troopers when I have money. Thanks for the recommendation!

well, he wrote the book, but let's just say the movie is a pale shadow. Β when he died, his bank box was opened up, and in it was a note that said that the three books that sum him up are "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress", "Starship Troopers" and "Stranger in a Strange Land". Β I would highly recommend all three of these, along with "Waldo & Magic Inc.", "Time Enough for Love", "The Cat Who Walks Through Walls", and "Victory Road".

Most movies are pale shadows of the books, like Jurassic Park, my favorite parts of the book were left out of the movie, but I do understand that there are time constraints so things have to be cut, so I tend to view movies and books as completely different entities. I'm definitely going to be finding "Starship Troopers" to read sometime soon probably, once I have money. Actually I probably won't be able to get it until March sometime because I have mail I'm going to need to send out. I'll have to make a list of those other books though, for when I have money to get them.Β

fair warning, Heinlein's theological beliefs were downright odd, which you'll see when you read SIASL. Β also, some of his books can be dated by his stating that blacks and whites are equals boldly, like it's something controversial, because when he wrote those stories, that was controversial.
